The term politics once heard all we think of is the governments, politicians, power, influence, corruption and embezzlement. Personally, the term politics comes with both good and bad reputations depending on who is the instrument of it. Politics comes in when a country needs a certain rules and guidance for it to be organized, and the funny thing about politics is, it’s not just about those in power that is, governments and authorities that uses it as an instrument but also we as an individual.
In life, we’ve all been politicians at one point and this involves us making decisions either at our place of work, our daily lives, in our family or wherever we find ourselves. For example, the most common form of individual politics is when there’s a job opening in an organization, and an advert is being placed out there for the spot but because we have a friend or family member who we think should have the spot ignoring the fact whether the person is qualified or skilled we use the back door approach to give the person the job, ignoring more qualified candidates and applications put in for the position.
I see politics as an everyday activity we encounter or do knowingly or unknowingly, it can be done using favoritism, influence and the power one have. Like I said depending on who is the instrument of politics, it can be abused or used well for good works and those that abuse it usually use it for personal gains like embezzlements, scams and all types of crimes because they feel they have the power and they are invincible and the good part of being in politics is that it helps you know your rights and standing, and helps see things differently and know to handle or run things.
To see politics from the angle of the governments is to see how they run a country, from making laws, deciding what people can or cannot do and if any of these rules are broken, then they use the power they have to take action irrespective of the action of the person.
Politics can be seen or used from different angles and perspective, it can be used for conflicts and also used for resolving those conflicts, it can be used for exercising power which is the most common form of it, and it can be used to decide a consensus.
Speaking of politics can be used for conflicts and resolving conflicts, since the Russia-Ukraine conflicts, so many countries are been taking sanctions on Russia since they are not able to support Ukraine in the war or intervene in them, and this sanctions are what we call political move.

I would argue that the social war has been the non-economic sanctions on Russia and its citizens. This involves banning Russian people from events such as the World Cup (soccer), Olympics, Eurovision, and International cat competitions. This also involves loss of services within the country as well as restrictions on movements in and out of the country. Russia do not seem well equipped to take any meaningful counteractions in a social war. However, their military war will have social implications on the citizens of Ukraine as well as Ukraine’s neighbours.
