When I was kid my knowledge on power was limited to being strong and being able to lift things, 😂 young champ never knew there was more to life and power than lifting physical things.
Life is really tough for most people, anybody that is able to go through the day should be considered powerful because it takes a lot of Will power to do most things life presents to us. We all have goals in this life, even the most un serious person you might know certainly has a goal, that goal could be to exist without the troubles of life. Lots of people are at the end of giving up because they feel they don’t have the power to keep pushing or keeping doing what they are doing to achieve their goal. But majority of people who had the power to stay consistent and showed up every day usual achieved what they wanted to achieve.
Power starts from the mind before implementing it physically. Let’s look at the physical power of lifting things, before you lift it, you have to mentally tell yourself that you can do it, right? You have to mentally prepare yourself, after that there comes the action and you finally get the result. Now let’s direct this to consistency, for you to be consistent in something you have to have the power and self discipline to do that. Because a lot comes from consistent in something, when you have the power to be consistent at what you do, consistency displays it’s power by giving you a marvelous result. It’s a two way power thing.
From @zeleiracordero-259 in I thought I could do it, so I did it / Creà que podÃa hacerlo, asà que lo hice
Faith generates power and power generates action: If I believe, I can. And, that reality embodied in thought is what gives the power to act, even if they are things that in other times we did not dare to do.
Setting goals and trying to achieve those goals takes a lot from us, most times we have to channel the power of staying focused and consistent from some where. Lots of people have different sources of power and this power am referring to is the mental, the zeal that drives them in doing something no matter how tired or how weak they are. I have seen lots of people derive their power from family, whenever they think of their family and what the goal they are trying to achieve can change the lives for their family, they stay focus and continue their consistent effort. While some get their power from the mere love of what they do.
Trying to be consistent in what you set out to do can be really hard because you are going to face a lot of challenges, there will always be thoughts of trying to give up, there will always be thoughts of self doubts. But remembering who you are and reminding yourself that within you, you have the power to achieve anything you set out to do with your consistent effort is enough to keep you going for the day.
Most successful people are successful because they had the power to be consistent at what they do, doing it everyday makes doing what you do look easy but doing it everyday is really hard. Because that comes from a deep place of self discipline and will power.
I feel there are no words to tell people who are less powerful in being consistent to make them consistent, because such motivation and drive has to come from within them. They need to mentally get ready for it, because if they are not mentally ready, no matter what you tell them, they won’t be consistent or try to add an effort to what they are meant to do.
In my years of experience I have come to realize that people call you lucky when you achieve a goal, discrediting your effort of daily consistency and showing up everyday. Everyday you show up and stay consistent gives you a marvelous opportunity or chance to achieving that goal you set out to achieve. I always use musicians as inspirations, one of the reasons most musicians have great hits and are really successful in music is that they always showed up everyday in the studio, these people have a lot of songs they record every day but not every song can be a hit, but they never gave up. They were consistent in making music, after making it and releasing it, we get a hit. To the outside world it looks like a 3 minutes hit song, but in reality those are hours of song writing, trial by error, lots of songs that didn’t come out well and consistency in showing up in the studios almost everyday.
