Hello Shadow and Reflection Hunters! This will be my first participation in the new month since I haven't written any entries in the previous weeks because I was into travel blogs. This entry though was taken during one of my travels to Shatin Hong Kong last January.
Do you still remember my post about the Tunnel Of Lights At Shatin Riverside? I captured some good reflections while traversing through the tunnel.
Let me first show you this beautiful bridge with a tunnel of lights which I featured in my post above. Of course, this isn't my entry for this week's reflection contest.
I discovered that Shatin has a few bridges, including the Lek Yuen, Sand Martin, and Banyan bridges. The Lek Yuen Bridge, shown in the image below, is known for its breathtaking lighting, particularly around Christmas and Chinese New Year.
The photo in my entry for this Reflection Contest 104 by is the Sand Martin Bridge located just across the Lek Yuen Bridge. These two bridges facing one another truly look stunning at night, especially when their lights cast reflections in the water.
Some of Shatin's well-known hotels are situated along the river, and they also create lovely reflections in the water. Every Christmas and Chinese New Year, the riverside and bridges are both decorated with shimmering lights, enhancing the beauty of this area at night. Just refer to the fourth photo.
However, the best thing to do along this riverside is to relax and bike rather than just take pictures of lovely reflections. Visitors can rent bicycles along the river to explore the Shatin riverside and other beautiful spots nearby.
The riverside also has benches and resting shades where people can rest after biking. It's undoubtedly a great place to spend a relaxing weekend biking with family or friends. The best time to visit is at night when all of the lights are on, making the location even more lovely and romantic.
That concludes my Reflection blog. If you want to read about the tunnel of lights, feel free to click this.
