I have read stories by many writers who present this type of narrative, but I realized that in this book by Coben, the reading is fluid, intriguing, and super fast-paced; it leaves no room for boredom and, above all, when we finish a chapter, the suspense grows, so there is no doubt that we must continue reading.

Certainly, perfect lives are falling one by one, and no one can prevent what they are hiding from coming to light.

Technology plays a key role in this story; everything is on the internet, and if you know how to search, there will be no hidden secrets. Everything is tracked on the web, and that's where Adam started to follow all the clues. The mystery and intrigue that grows exponentially centers on Corinne's disappearance, which leads us to ask several questions: Was she kidnapped? Did she run away to avoid confronting her husband? Was she murdered? Does the stranger or someone else have something to do with it? Well, this is puzzling and can become macabre. I really liked this book; it reads smoothly and has lots of twists and turns. Honestly, the author makes us feel Adam's desperation to find his wife and discover what is happening. In short, each page compels you to turn to the next, to put the clues you have gathered into practice, and quite simply, here we don't know who is who; anyone could be the villain of the story. Finally, everything you experience while reading the book emphasizes that we never really know people completely; you could spend a thousand years with someone and in the end, they still have something to hide. Esta narrativa y los efectos que produce al leerla, la encontramos en su obra No Hables con Extraños o El Extraño. En esta historia todo parece perfecto; el verdadero sueño en familia, personas que viven en buenas casas, tienen trabajos excelentes y las familias parecen sólidas. Pero todo es muy bueno para ser cierto, porque cada uno de ellos guardan secretos que si salen a la luz; el caos sería al estilo del efecto dominó. Un día común se puede convertir en el desastre total, cuando alguien se te acerca y te dice que la vida que llevas no es el cuento de hadas que parece; te dice que alguien de tu familia te engaña, no lo puedes creer, pero te ofrece detalles que no te dan lugar a dudar. A partir de allí parece que se ha desatado una conspiración, pero será inevitable que busques la verdad por más dura que sea.

Ciertamente; las vidas perfectas van cayendo una por una y nadie podrá evitar que lo que ocultan salga a la luz.

Todo es rastreado por la web y por allí comenzó Adam para seguir todas las pistas.
