Hello everyone!
Everyone especially housewives may be having a hard time accepting the increase in food prices. All food items went up by around 5-40% and that made us a little bit difficult.
The thing I hate in my country is the government can't keep prices stable, even chili prices in one year can go up and down several times with very fluctuating prices.
Just imagine, cooking oil in my country rose 30% and we are very difficult to get it. Cooking oil is very rare nowadays, if I want to buy cooking oil, I have to check some supermarkets and it will waste my precious time.
Normally, cooking oil would be easy to get if I went to the shop closest to my house, and currently the purchase of cooking oil was limited to daily. It will have a very bad impact on fried food sellers. They have to survive by buying oil at high prices for buying from ruthless resellers.
This also has an impact on the use of cooking oil for fried food sellers. They use cooking oil repeatedly to save costs. That factor made me a little scared to buy it. My husband likes fried tempe the best, so to minimize it, I like to make my own fried tempe. Fortunately, making fried tempeh is very easy. Curious about the recipe? Let's see the following recipe! Check this out!
Crispy Fried Tempeh
Ingredients:
- 1 pack of tempeh (thin slices)
- 150 gr wheat flour
- 3 cloves of garlic
- Green onions
- Turmeric powder
- Coriander powder
- Mushroom stock
- Pinch of salt
- Double acting baking powder
- 200 ml of water
How to make crispy fried tempe:
- Thin slices of tempeh, can also be cut according to taste. I think it's best if you cut it very thin because it will make the tempeh dry quickly.
- Combine flour, green onion pieces, pure garlic, turmeric and coriander and add salt and mushroom broth. Then add 1/2 teaspoon of double acting baking powder.
- Add 200 ml of water and mix well.
- Soak the tempeh with the batter, then fry it in hot oil.
- Fry until crisp and golden brown.
- Crispy Fried Tempeh is ready to be served!
Well, that's a simple recipe for fried tempeh that I modified to make it easy to make at home. I like the crispy fried tempeh, usually when it's half cooked it's called tempe mendoan. So, do you like the recipe above? Want more recipes? Comment below yes!
