Today i will share a recipe bajre ( pearl millet) ke appe. this easy-to-make recipe that brings together the rustic goodness of pearl millet flour with a burst of flavor from assorted veggies. Join me as we explore a simple yet delicious recipe that promises to elevate your snacking experience to new heights.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup bajra (pearl millet) flour
- 1/4 cup besan
Salt to taste
- 1 grated carrot
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1 capsicum finely chopped
- 1 small tomato chopped
1/2 cup chopped cabbage - 1/2 cup chopped spinach
1/2 cup coriander leaves chopped.
1/2 Beetroot chopped
3 garlic cloves minced
5 curry leaves chopped
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon carrom seeds
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chilli powder ( as your taste)
1 teaspoon chat masala
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Water as needed
Oil for greasing the appe pan
** Preparation**
🌼"First, heat some oil in a pan and add curry leaves, cumin seeds, and garlic. Sauté all the vegetables for 2-3 minutes."
🌼 In a mixing bowl, combine bajra flour, besan, soute vegetables , carrom seeds , turmaric powder, red chilli powder ,sesame, baking powder,baking soda and salt. Mix well.
🌼 Gradually add water to make a thick batter consistency, similar to idli batter.
Add soaked flex seed powder
Now, add soaked flaxseed powder to it and mix well.
🌼 Heat the appe pan and grease the molds with oil and sprinkle sesame seeds.
🌼 Pour a spoonful of batter into each mold, filling them about three-fourths full.
🌼 Cover and cook on low to medium heat for a few minutes until the bottom side is golden brown.
🌼 Flip the appe using a spoon or fork and cook the other side until golden brown and cooked through.
🌼 Once done, remove from the pan and serve hot with chutney or sauce of your choice.
