Halloween buns
Hello, and greetings food lovers. Here is my new recipe. Halloween buns I made simple buns using pumpkin.
Ingredients:
1 cup pumpkin pulp
1 cup carrot pulp
1 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp salt
3 cups white flour
1 cup wholemeal coarse flour
1/4 cup oil
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 tsp ginger powder
30 grams of dark chocolate
15 walnuts
1/2 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp nutmeg powder.
1/3 cup sugar
20 raisins
Mix all dry ingredients together.
all spices including nutmeg.
Add oil to the flour mixture
Mix oil and flour thoroughly.
Blend pumpkin pulp and carrot pulp together using a mixer.
Add pumpkin and carrot pulp to flour and oil
Make a soft dough, like normal bread dough.
brush with 1 tsp oil and let cover the dough tightly.
I covered it with a plastic bag and put the dough in the oven with only the light on for warmth. This trick I use this when I am in hurry and want the dough to rise up quickly.
In two hours the dough has perfectly risen up.
Punch it down and make 10 portions from the dough to make balls
Cut the chocolate into pieces and put each piece in each doughball.
Make a round ball shape covering the chocolate piece into it.
Set the walnuts and some raisins in each bun.
Sprinkle some semolina on the baking tray put all buns and cover them with a towel or kitchen cloth for around 20 minutes.
Meanwhile preheat the oven to around 180c.
Before baking them brush some oil on them.
After brushing the oil they are ready to put in the oven.
bake them for around 30-35 minutes at 180c.
After 35 minutes the buns are ready.
Let them cool down.
instead of sugary candies, these were Halloween treats for the children.
