Love your health, learn to eat vegetables.
As I always said, I prefer to eat fruits and vegetables than meat. I do eat meat but with limitations. This choice was influenced by my parents because I grow up eating more vegetables than meat. We seldom have meat in our table back then. I can still remember that we only have meat in the table in some occasions.
I also love listening health lectures that also teaches how important is to have a good health. I learned that eating more fruits and vegetables is so beneficial for our physical health.
I know someone who is vegetarian and I like how she cooked foods that looks like having meat. One day, she posted vegetarian products for sale. Upon reading it, I never hesitate to ask what is it, how to cook it and where we can use it. I ordered pie-cott or she also call it veggie meat. This is an alternative they use for meat.
This is made of wheat flour, mushroom granules and soy oil.
After picking my order, I am excited to try cooking it. I bought some potatoes and carrots for the desired recipe.
For today's blog, I will share to you my Carrots and potatoes with veggie meat recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
2 medium sized carrots
5 medium sized potatoes
Tomato sauce
Pie Cott or veggie meat
Salt
1 medium onion
3 cloves garlic
Cooking oil
Water
PROCEDURE:
Step 1. Wash and peel carrots and potatoes.
Step 2. Slice carrots and potatoes to your desired shape and thickness. Set aside.
Step 3. Peel, wash and slice onion and garlic.
Step 4. Boil enough water to be used for soaking the pie-cott or veggie meat. Soak about five minutes or until tender.
Step 5. If the veggie meat is already tender, remove it from the water and slice it according to the desired shape and size. Keep the water you used for soaking because we will use it later.
Step 6. Prepare the pan, put a little cooking oil and then saute onions and garlic.
Step 7. Add the sliced carrots and potatoes. Pour the water we used for soaking veggie meat earlier. The water have taste too because of the veggie meat.
Step 8. Add tomato sauce and then put salt according to the desired taste. Mixed them well. Cover the pan and wait until the vegetables are tender.
Step 9. When carrots and potatoes are tender, add the sliced veggie meat. Mix them.
The carrots and potatoes with veggie meat is now ready to be served.
