Hello everyone! I am Kona. Hope everyone is well. I'm fine too. I am here with a new recipe. Today I will share with you an interesting vegan recipe with banana seedlings.This is an interesting & nutritious recipe. This dish is one of the traditional dishes of Bengalis.Let's start -
Ingredients :
Banana seedlings
Oil - As needed
Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - 1 teaspoon
Green chillies - 4 pcs
The methods of making :
I took salt, turmeric, sugar, green chilli powder in a bowl. I can easily provide the materials needed to assemble them together.
Cut a small banana plant. Then the stem of the banana tree should be cut like this.
Discard the thin covering of the stem of the banana plant. The thin coating is inedible.
Now cut the stem of the banana plant into small pieces like this. Reduce the size as much as possible while cutting. It can be boiled and fried easily by cutting it into small size.
Add oil to the pan. Heat oil on medium heat.It may take 30 seconds for the oil to heat up. After the oil is heated follow the next steps.
Now add banana stem to the pan. It should be fried now. It will take about 5 minutes to fry. The better it is fried the better the taste.
While frying, water will ooze from the stem of the banana plant. So there is no need to give extra water. Wait 2 minutes for the water to dry.
Add salt and turmeric as needed. I used 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon tumeric.Tumeric will make the color of the curry attractive.Adding salt makes frying faster.
Cover the pan for 3 minutes. By this time the potatoes will be boiled.After 3 minutes open the lid.
Now add 1 teaspoon sugar to the recipe. Sugar will enhance the taste. Those who have problem with sugar can skip it if they want.
Mix everything together well. Those who like masala can add masala if they want. But it is better not to add masala with this recipe.
Add 4 chilies. But not everyone likes chili. So add chilli as per your requirement.
Cover the pan for another 5 minutes. Now everything will boil better. After 5 minutes remove the lid.
Keep the curry in the pan for another 2 minutes on medium heat.Then take it down.
