Hello everyone! I am Kona. Hope everyone is well. I'm fine too. I am here with a new recipe. Today I will share with you Indian pennywort .This is a nutritious recipe. This dish is one of the traditional dishes of Bengalis.Let's start -
Ingredients :
Indian pennywort - 250 grams
Potatoes - 3 pcs
Mustard - As needed
Oil - As needed
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
The methods of making :
I collected 250 grams of Indian pennywort from our garden. A lot has to be thrown away while cutting it. So the weight becomes less after cutting. For this collect 350 grams of leaves. After cutting it will be 250 grams.
Then take 3 medium sized potatoes. Cut each potato into 5 pieces. The smaller the potatoes are, the better they can be fried and boiled. After chopping the potatoes and Indian pennywort, wash them well in water.
Add oil to the pan. Heat oil on medium heat.
After the oil is hot, add cumin as required.Fry cumin for 30 seconds.After frying cumin keep it aside in another bowl.Then fry the potatoes.
Add potatoes to hot oil. The thinner the size of the potato, the better it will fry. Fry the potatoes for 3-5 minutes.
Add water as needed after frying the potatoes. No need to add extra water.Wait until the water boils.
When the water boils, add the Indian pennywort. This will boil quickly in hot water, then other materials should be given.
Add salt and turmeric as needed. I used 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon tumeric.Tumeric will make the color of the curry attractive.
Cover the pan for 5 minutes.By this time the potatoes will be boiled. After 5 minutes remove the lid.
After opening the lid keep the curry in the pan for another 2 minutes on medium heat.Then take it down.
