welcome to my blog again. I am so glad that you are here. Today i would like to share the recipe of sweet fried balls which we called gulgule in our language.
Gulgule is a snacks which is sweet in taste. Crispy balls from the outside and sweet soft from inside. This is a famous snacks which made with a few basic ingredients. Which you can easily get at home and you can make them anytime.
This is a famous snack of north India. Aur you can enjoy it as a sweet also. Since my childhood i saw my mom to make these tasty sweet balls on many occasions and also when we craving for something good and sweet. We can make it in less time . You can also these gulgule with pakoda.

Ingredients ✅
- Wheat flour 1 cup
- Sugar 1/2 cup / jaggery
- Water 1/2 cup
- Green fennel 1 tbsp
- Baking soda 1 pinch
- Oil
Method to make these tasty sweet balls ✅
Step 1 :
First arrange the ingredients and make the batter.
Take a Big bowl , add wheat flour, sugar and water in it and make a thick batter.
Add green fennel seeds in it. leave of 15-20 minutes till sugar dissolves properly. You can also add jaggery instead of sudar. And first add little water, how much water is required depends on the flour.
At the end add one pinch baking soda in it. After it mix well. Your batter is ready to make sweet balls.
Step 2 :
Now take a big and deep pan or kadai and heat the oil in it. Heat the oil properly.
The oil should neither be cold nor too hot. If it is too hot, the balls will burn from outside and remain raw from Inside. And if it is not heated properly then the balls will stick to the bottom of the pan.
First check by putting a small ball in it...if it comes up easily and does not burn then your oil is hot enough.
Now you can make small balls of the batter like fitters with spoon or with your fingers and fry them. Do not fry too many balls at once otherwise they will not cook properly.
Now fry them properly and take out when you noticed that it turned in golden brown.
