Hello foodies !
Welcome to my blog again. I am glad that you are here . Today i would like to share the recipe of palak daal which is simple and a healthy & tasty recipe.
Dal palak is a protein and fiber rich food which is made with the combination of dal ( lentil) and palak (spinach). We can use the lentils of our choice and a good tempered with onion, garlic and few species makes it so yummy and appealing Indian meal. We can enjoy it with the hot chapati or rice. This is a perfect recipe for dinner.
This time i used green gram split which we also called moong chilka dal. Which is a good source of protein, vitamins and calcium. You can also used mix lentils ( like green gram split, yellow split gram, red gram and black gram split).

METHOD ✅
Step 1 :
First take the lentil and wash it properly. Wash for 3-4 times and soak it for 20-40 minutes.
After 20-40 minutes you look the lintil like this. Now remove excess water , transfer lentil in the pressure cooker and add 2.5 cup water in it.
Step 2 :
Now take spinach and wash it properly. Wash it for 3-4 times and finely chopped the spinach.
Add spinach in the pressure cooker and along with add salt , turmeric powder and 2 drops oil. This time i also add onion with this step.
Now cover the pressure cooker lid and cook lentils till the 2-3 whistle.
Step 3 :
On the other hand prepare your tampering. For that you can make the puree of tomato, ginger, green chilli and garlic or you can finaly chopped them. I chopped all finely.
Step 4 :
After 2-3 whistles turn off the flame and after 5-6 minutes open the lid of cooker. Check it, if you found it cooked properly mashed it with wooden masher.

Now for tempering take a tadka pan or small pan, add oil in it. If you have vegan butter used it otherwise oil is okay. Heat the oil and add cumin seeds and hing. When the seeds start to crackle add dry chilli.
Now add chopped garlic, and after few seconds add ginger, tomato and green chilli too. Now cook it for 2-3 minutes on medium flame, add red chilli powder, Coriander powder and garam masala. Add little water too .
Now your tempering is ready. Mix it in your dal.
Enjoy it with chapati or rice.
