Yellow Pumpkin Steamed Cake
This cake is one of the many traditional cakes in my area. However, some people make this cake with a mixture of sweet potatoes, but because I want to extract directly from the pumpkin, I only use pumpkin and grated coconut as a savory finish to the cake.
Ingredients Needed
100 grams steamed pumpkin
2 scoops of jelly powder
150 grams tapioca flour
200 ml thick coconut milk
4 tablespoons of granulated sugar
1 sheet pandan leaves
1 teaspoon salt
Making Procedure
Step 1
The steamed pumpkin is then crushed until smooth using a cutlery. Because the texture of the pumpkin is very soft so it will be very easy for you to crush.
Step 2
While I crushed the pumpkin I added salt and sugar, this is so that both are easily dissolved in the pumpkin later.
Step 3
If it is soft, add tapioca flour while stirring, then add jelly powder.
Step 4
Stir all ingredients until everything is evenly distributed and then add coconut milk while stirring.
Step 5
Then if everything has dissolved prepare any pan by smearing a little cooking oil.
Step 6
Pour the dough in a pan, then steam for up to 30 minutes, so that the cake is perfectly cooked. Well don't forget the steamer is preheated and covered with a cloth.
Step 7
For topping grated coconut is also steamed so that the cake can be durable and not easily stale. Steam the grated coconut by adding pandan leaves and enough salt then also add a tablespoon of sugar.
Step 8
Now if it is cooked, wait until it cools, then remove it from the pan, cut the cake according to taste and roll it in the steamed coconut dressing.
