Good day, dear friends🤗! How are you all doing? As the Sinhala festival approaches in Sri Lanka, a sense of peace envelops us day by day. Sweets hold a special significance during these festivities, bringing joy as we prepare and share them with loved ones, relatives, and guests. Today, I've crafted a remarkably soft and flavorful bun, offering a unique culinary experience. My intention is to provide you with something interesting and different. This bun can be easily prepared with minimal ingredients available at home. Let's explore the ingredients needed for this delightful creation.
Materials Used.
Wheat flour 300g.
150ml of condensed coconut milk.
4 tablespoons of coconut oil.
Sugar 50g.
1/3 tsp of salt.
1 1/2 teaspoons of yeast.
A type of jam they like.
The cooking process as follows.
Now we are ready to prepare. For that, first take a bowl and put wheat flour in it. Add sugar and yeast to it and stir. Add coconut milk and coconut oil to it and prepare it as a dough. Stir the dough for about 5 minutes. Then leave it in a warm place for about 40 minutes.
Next stop after 40 minutes and mix the flour dough. Then thin the dough and cut it into pieces.
Then again prepare the cut parts into small balls. After that place it on a baking tray with greased parchment paper and place the dough circle.
Again, cover the prepared flour balls with a cloth and keep them for about 30 minutes.
Now we put this in a steamer and steam it for about 40 minutes.
Then spread the jam over the steamed buns. I used strawberry jam for this.
This is a very tasty bun that can be added to the meal at tea time. It has a good taste because coconut milk is added to it. I added jam to this to enhance its beauty and taste. A dish that can be enjoyed by everyone, big and small. I hope you've made it and enjoyed it. Then I will say goodbye for today until we meet again. Good day to you.
Thank you.
