Indonesia is known for its worldwide culture and food, one of which is tempe, you may have heard of this food often and can also be processed into various types of food using tempeh as the main ingredient, this time I will also share recipes and the procedure for making fried tempe using some vegetables as stuffing, let's start the process
I only use one tempeh and for the ingredients, just provide it as below
- 1 tempeh
- 300gr wheat flour
- 100gr carrots
- 50gr Bean sprout
- 100gr potatoes
- 1 stalk celery
- one spring onion
- Two onion cloves
- three cloves of garlic
- 3 pecans
- half a teaspoon of pepper
- 7 cayenne pepper
- two teaspoons of salt
- Cooking oil (customized)
To fry one tempeh, that's all the other ingredients we need, the steps are also very easy, just follow the steps below
First, we start by preparing the vegetables first, peel the potatoes and carrots, cut them as thin as possible and wash them thoroughly, for the bean sprouts we don't need to cut them again, just wash them thoroughly and mix them with the other vegetables.
Next, finely chop the celery and leek, then mix it with all the other vegetables that we have cut into pieces, don't forget to wash beforehand, when finished, then continue with a blender all the spices, such as onions and others, grind until smooth and pour in the vegetables
Next, put a teaspoon of salt into the vegetables, and then start to cook all the vegetables, just add a tablespoon of oil to sauté these vegetables, add enough water and stir-fry the dry vegetables until all the vegetables are perfectly cooked, as shown in the last picture.
Next, cut the tempe thin into several parts, and this is the most difficult step to make this food, because of a slight mistake, we cannot use the tempe anymore, pay attention to the picture of the tempe above, more or less you have to split it that thin
After that, place the vegetables on top of the tempeh, and roll all the tempeh so that it looks like in the last picture
After that, all you have to do is make the flour mixture, pour the flour into a larger container, then add a teaspoon of salt, and add 10ml of water, mix everything thoroughly until the dough is perfect, the water level is quite influential when stirring this flour, too much water it won't be crunchy later, after that add all the tempeh that we have rolled up, and heat the skillet
Finally, add enough cooking oil, and fry the tempeh until the color changes to golden yellow, and until here, everything is done, drain the oil and just serve it, here are the final results
This is the end result, the texture is crispy and the daei taste of the vegetables is very pronounced, plus the pleasure that is in tempe is no longer in doubt, even now there are lots of traders who sell this type of fried food, many people like it, especially during the month Ramadan as it is today
This food is very suitable to be enjoyed while still hot, and eaten with sauce, you can also eat it with cayenne pepper which will certainly add to the sensation of taste, coffee is the best partner for this food, you can try it if you want to know the taste
