Have you ever heard of Aci tofu? I think you have heard of it often, right? Aci tofu is wet white tofu mixed with Aci flour and other spices. Aci tofu is also very popular in my area, because Aci tofu is very familiar here. There are many Aci tofu sellers, but this time I really want to make it myself at home with my own version.
It just so happened that my mother-in-law who visited my house brought a lot of tofu, and I immediately thought of making a savory but slightly spicy snack and my mind immediately went to Tahu Aci, my own homemade Tahu Aci.
There are so many terms for today's snacks and the names are almost the same, there are Aci tofu, Aci meatballs, cilok, crispy tofu and there are still many more contemporary snacks that are
currently viral in my area.
Actually, for the past few days, my stomach has been having problems, stomach ache and bloating, maybe because yesterday's food was a bit spicy after yesterday I enjoyed Mi Bang Lades in Hokseumawe, but today it's better, that's why I want to make a soy sauce seasoning that's not too spicy, I'm afraid my stomach ache will come back.
And if you are curious, well, just follow the steps that I will share in my post today.
Materials used
3 boxes of white tofu
1 package of tapioca flour
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon mushroom stock
3 shallots
3 bird's eye chilies
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Sweet soy sauce to taste
Manufacturing procedure
First
First, I took the tofu and cut it, not too thin and not too thick either, then I smashed the tofu a little using a spoon.
Second
After all the tofu was crushed, I mixed pepper, salt and mushroom stock into the Aci flour. I stirred it until the spices were evenly mixed, then I added the crushed tofu one by one.
Third
I then fried the tofu until it was perfectly cooked, until it turned slightly yellow.
Four
While waiting for the tofu to cook, I ground the spices, soy sauce, chili, shallots, palm sugar and sweet soy sauce together and ground them until they were all crushed. If you have lime, squeeze a little lime. I happen to have no lime in stock.
RESULTS
and this is the result, my homemade tofu Aci is ready, and you can enjoy it straight away while it's still warm like this, this tofu Aci is my own recipe, because I've often made tofu aci so I don't hesitate to make the recipe again without having to ask my mother again heheh
Well, especially when dipped in a slightly spicy, sweet, and savory soy sauce like this, you can already imagine how delicious this Aci tofu tastes. The outer texture of this tofu is a little chewy because it is coated with Tapung Aci and then fried. So the chewy and savory, spicy, and sweet taste are mixed together. It is also suitable as a side dish for your rice at home.
