And today friends I bring to share and teach you one of the recipes I made during this celebration period. This recipe spicy plantains barbecue π. A delicious spicy recipe of fried plantains garnished with lots of fried spicy sauce of onions, chilies πΆ, black pepper, garlic, curry and thyme.
This recipe was prepared for that after lunch relaxation with some side drinks πΊ to accompany it, and I assure you, it was loved π by everyone. Its another way we can incorporate plantains in our weekly meal roaster, although it can serve mainly as a side dish, but we can as well enjoy it alone during that little hunger period .
Lets make this simple and straightforward recipe as I take you along through the ingredients and step by step.
INGREDIENTS:
3 large plantains
1/2 of a whole onions
4 hot peppers
2 red chilies
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of curry powder
1/2 teaspoon of thyme
3 cloves of garlic
1/4 sea salt
Oil to fry
STEPS FOR PREPARATION:
Step 1.
I will start by washing the spices, then will cut and separating the onions from the cloves .
Step 2.
I will cut slice the hot peppers and the chili πΆ
Step 3.
The garlic I will clean and cut just in rounds
Step 4.
Next is to wash, peel and cut the plantains into equal parts.
Step 5.
Here I will add the chopped plantains into a bowl, add pinch of salt, black pepper, tgrn will stir it thoroughly allowing the pepper to incorporate.
Step 6.
To fry this plantains, I will set to heat the vegetable oil, gradually add the chopped plantains
Step 7.
I will fry and flip it over once itβs golden brown to fry the other side. Then remove to cool down.
Step 8.
Next is to fry the spicy, starting with the onions and adding the peppers. I will stir both and allow to tender.
Step 9.
Then add the curry, thyme garlic and pinch of salt. Stir them all and fry for just one more minute. I will set it down.
Step 10.
Allow both to cool down properly.
And then I will go ahead to set it into barbecue sticks one by one adding the spice to it.
And serve it once itβs ready. This is a recipe you will want to try . Its easy and straightforward to prepare. Its more of an adult meal because of the spice.added to it. But you can always try this recipe in your own version.
