Today is a beautiful day with work and an evening to enjoy some vegetables of Okra Soup Recipe. Vegetables are what we all need to always boost our health and wellness and we can enjoy our vegetables also in soup recipes.
Okra is a vegetable family that is so rich in vitamin A and C which helps us with good vision and fight common cold, flu and other radicals caused by exposures to hash weather. Okra also contains antioxidants called polyphenols and a protein called lectin which may inhibit cancer cell growth in humans. This vegetable is so versatile and can be enjoyed in many ways.
And this evening friends we are going to enjoy this very Okra Recipe I bring to share with you all. My Grandmother's Okra Recipe. A recipe I learnt from my grandma while growing up because she makes her okra soup in a very special traditional way to bring out the soculant juicy water from the okra. This recipe is so unique and taste so delicious 🍜.

INGREDIENTS :
500 g of okra steam or seed pod
1 ball of red onion
6 pieces of hot red peppers
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
1/2 teaspoon of salt powder
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
1 tablespoons of palm oil
1 soy cube
Steps For Preparation :
We will begin this recipe by first washing the okra, the peppers and onion.
Then we go ahead to slice the okra, the onions and the hot peppers.
Next we will use our traditional wooden mortar and pestle to pound our ingredients for this recipe. First we pound the hot peppers and make sure it's well grinded.
We now add the sliced okra and pound it until it becomes soft and slimy. We remove.
We then set and heat our cooking pan on the stove, add our palm oil to heat up a little. We add the the pounded okra and fry it for just a while, then we add little cooking water.
We stir the okra very well to obtain a more slimy consistency and allow the okra to start cooking. Then we add our salt, the turmeric and the soy cube. We cook to inculcate all the ingredients,stiring the soup at intervals to avoid sticking.
We allow to cook for a minute or two then we add the onions, stir for a while and set it down .
We serve and add sone diced onions to it and enjoy the richness of okra in a unique recipe. We can serve this recipe with dough tofu or any tofu of your choice.
