Hope everyone is well. Today I was cooking a delicious chutney so thought to share with you. I am trying to present each step simply.It is also delicious to eat.
Ingredients :
Red lentils - 150 grams
Raw mango - 1 pcs
Dry chilies - 3 pcs
Bay leaves - 2 pcs
Dry chili powder - half teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - As needed
Oil - As needed
Green chillies - 4 pcs
The methods of making :
Take 150 grams of red lentils. Soak red lentils in water for 10 minutes.
Now boil the red lentils. I used rice cooker to boil.
After boiling it will look like this. It will take 10 minutes to boil.
Add oil to the pan. Heat oil on medium heat.After the oil is hot, add cumin as required. Fry cumin for 30 seconds. Then add 2 bay leaves and 3 pcs dry chillies.
After frying, keep them aside in another bowl.
Add the red lentils to the pan. Then mash well.
Add all the fried ingredients. Then water as needed. No need to add extra water.
Add salt and turmeric as needed. I used 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon tumeric.Tumeric will make the color of the curry attractive.
Add dry chillies and add 4 green chillies.Cut them in half. Be sure to wash with water after cutting.But many may not like chillies. So add chilies as per your requirement.
Now add sugar as required. Then mix everything together well.
Take a raw mango and cut it into 5-6 pieces. Then add it to the pan.
Take dry chilies in a bowl and mash them well. After mash, mix it with chutney.
Keep the chutney in the pan for another 2 minutes on medium heat.Then take it down.
