Hope everyone is well. Today I was cooking a delicious recipe of pointed gourd so thought to share with you. I am trying to present each step simply.It is also delicious to eat.
Ingredients :
Pointed gourd - 4 pcs
Potatoes - 2 pcs
Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
Chilli paste - 2 teaspoon
Cumin paste - 2 teaspoon
Dry Chilli Powder –
Cumin - As needed
Oil - As needed
Salt - 2 teaspoon
Turmeric - 2 teaspoons
The methods of making :
Take 4 pcs pointed gourd. Cut each pointed gourd seam into 2 pieces. Discard the thin coating while slicing. Wash thoroughly with water after cutting.
Take 2 potatoes.Cut each potato into 4-5 pieces. Wash thoroughly with water after cutting. The thinner the potato, the better it will boil and fry.
Add oil to the pan. Heat oil on medium heat.It takes 30 seconds.
Now fry the potatoes. It will take 3 minutes to fry the potatoes. Keep the pan on medium heat while frying.
Add salt and turmeric as needed. I used ½ teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon tumeric.Tumeric will make the color more attractive.After that add salt and tumeric again.
Add salt and tumeric to the pointed gourd. It can be fried quickly due to salt.
Now fry the potatoes. It will take 3 minutes like potatoes to fry. As before, keep the pan on medium heat while frying.
After frying potatoes and pointed gourd keep them in another bowl. Then follow the next steps.
After the oil is hot, add cumin as required. Fry cumin for 30 seconds.
Add 2 teaspoon chili paste along with cumin. Not everyone likes chili. So add chili paste as per your requirement.
Now add ginger paste as per instructions.
Then add 2 teaspoon cumin paste. Cumin will add extra flavor to the curry.
Mix everything together well. Keep on medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Then follow the next steps.
Add water as needed. No need to add extra water.
Add again salt and turmeric as needed. I used ½ teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon tumeric.
Cover the pan for 2-3 minutes. By this time the potatoes will be boiled. Then open the lid.
Take 3-4 potatoes. Mash them well and mix them with the water in the pan.
Keep the curry in the pan for another 2 minutes on medium heat.Then take it down.
