Hope everyone is well. Today I was cooking a delicious recipe with chickpea lentil so thought to share with you. I am trying to present each step simply.It is also delicious to eat.
Ingredients :
Chickpea lentil - 200 grams
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Tumeric - 1 teaspoon
Cumin - 1 teaspoon
Dry chillies - 2 pcs
Green chillies - 6 pcs
Bay leaf - 2 pcs
Oil - As needed
The methods of making :
First I took 200 grams of chickpea lentil. It should be soaked for a while to boil. I soaked it for 20 minutes.
I used pressure cooker to boil chickpea lentil. But if you want, you can boil it by adding water as needed in a pan on medium heat. I added little water to boil faster.
Now add green chillies as required. I have used 6 pcs.
It took 7 minutes for chickpea lentil to boil in pressure cooker. After boiling, I poured it into the pan and mash it. In this case it is important to mash well.
Then I added 1 teaspoon tumeric and little more water.
Now I have added 1 teaspoon salt. For this recipe you can use 2 teaspoon salt if you want because a bit more salty chickpea tastes better.
After 5 minutes on medium heat, take it down in a bowl and follow the next steps.
Add oil to the pan. Heat oil on medium heat. After the oil is hot, add cumin as required. Fry cumin for 30 seconds. Then add 2 pcs bay leaf and 2 pcs dry chillies.
Fry these ingredients on medium heat for 2 minuets. Then add chickpea lentils. These ingredients will enhance the flavor of the chickpea.
Keep the curry in the pan for another 2 minutes on medium heat and keep stirring everything well. Then take it down.
