Greetings dear friends and fellow diners, today I'm here to share my entry for this week's weekly contest Qurator's: The Best Chef in the Hive! | Apples. Apples, that forbidden fruit that goes so well with both sweet and savoury dishes. but this time I decided to add something savoury and not so sweet to share in this contest. This recipe is very simple but gives the dish a lot of flavour. I thought about making another recipe, but since I didn't have a blender, I decided to make another one that is just as delicious.
Ingredients:
🔆 1 small onion
🔆 1 chicken breast
🔆 1 apple
🔆 Salt to taste
🔆 Pepper
🔆 Soy sauce
🔆 A little hot oil.
🔆 1 Lemon
The first thing we will do is wash the chicken breast thoroughly, then season it with a little salt, a little pepper and soy sauce, and leave it to marinate for about 20 minutes.
In a frying pan with hot oil, we are going to cook our chicken breast a little, and remove it quickly, just to brown it a little.
First, chop the onions into thin, small julienne strips, and then chop the apple into thin julienne strips as well.
Place the onions in our small frying pan and fry them until they are slightly transparent.
Now let's add our apple, let's cook it, when it's a little cooked we'll add the juice of half a lemon and stir for another minute.
Now, to taste, we can add wine or, in this case, I added a little rum, about a quarter, to give our chicken a little flavour. Add the chicken, add the rum and continue cooking and marinating all the seasonings together with the onion and apple to give the chicken flavour. Once it is well cooked, we can remove our chicken and serve it. Bon appétit! In this case, I served the chicken with a little cooked green plantain.

And this is how our chicken breast with apple turned out. I really like the texture of this little sauce made with onion and apple, as it gives the chicken a nice flavour when you eat it. It's like a sauce, and the touch of lemon gives the apple a little acidity. This combination of chicken and acidity is very tasty. You can also add a little honey, but in this case I didn't have any, so I didn't add it. I hope you like this recipe and bon appétit.
