During this vacation, I chose to visit and stay in the village where my grandmother lives. This was enough to calm my mind and heart from the hustle and bustle of work and social life in the city.
I spent my days walking through the gardens and rice paddies, witnessing beautiful scenery I'd never seen in a bustling, noisy city filled with people busy working to survive.
The rural environment is perfect for soothing the aches and pains of the workday. Some natural sights not found in the city are truly soothing to the heart and eyes. While not as luxurious as the buildings and restaurants in the city, the village scenery is no less stunning. Nature can heal a heart troubled by the burden of work.
Although this vacation will soon be over, and I'll return to my work routine, meeting people who are sometimes nice to me but not behind my back, and flaunting their achievements and wealth, at least these last few days, I've found relief in looking up at the sky, feeling the breeze in the rice paddies, and gathering the energy and enthusiasm to return to work in the city.
Now I must prepare to work hard again to survive. π See you again on vacation and have a safe return to work.
