The only thing I enjoy more than being out taking photos, is exploring new places at the same time!
Magic Rock, is a really unique location that is really only visited by keen explorers and photographers, as it requires a walk in that is a few km's from the road. I wasn't surprised to be there by myself, which gave me the freedom to find a heap of different compositions without disrupting anyone.
Although getting a magical sunset would be awesome. magic rock is able to look good in any conditions! I plan to revisit sometime this summer, for sunset and to use my drone to scout out some of the really cool rock formations nearby.
Here are some of the compositions I got during my visit. As you can see, there are plenty of unique foregrounds! (You can actually go down to the water to get some cool flow, but I wasn't keen to do that by myself!)
I think this shot would look cool with a really nice sunset :)
A bit of a different one, I don't think i've seen this comp before.
This was my favourite shot from the day, you can see the rocks that you can go down to for the cool flow. The rock in the background actually has a ladder placed there, I'll investigate when I go back with my drone.
If you would like to follow, I try and post a couple of times a week with either astro or landscapes :)
If you would like to find out a bit more about me, here is my intro.
