On Thursday, day 6 of our cruise, we were in Curacao again. We started the day with breakfast and a plan! We were going to walk to a recommended beach that was about an hour from the port.
The longer we walked, the hotter it seemed to get! About halfway there, we encountered a park they were constructing. It looked really nice with some food stands, bathrooms, and play structures right next to the beach! The ground was all coral pieces! It even contained this super poisonous tree in the park!

After walking for an hour and a half (which was not fun), we made it to Mambo beach! It was quite crowded since it is such a popular place. There are little shops all around the main swimming area. You can rent a chair, or do like we did and just find a little rock to sit on.
Ben, being the adventurous one, decided to do some snorkeling. I have tried in the past to snorkel, but I'm not a fan. The water was cool and I just didn't want to be eaten by a shark, so I sat on the side and watched him.

He saw all kind of fish! And I got all kinds of sun!
He went around the edge of the man made pool and more into the ocean where there was a little wall. He could touch the coral and saw quite a few fish. He didn't see any turtles or anything like that, but he liked it. He swam for about an hour.

I had brought some bagels from breakfast for a snack and decided to feed them to some of the fish. It sure was a beautiful location with amazingly clear blue water.

While we were at Mambo Beach, we saw an Italian couple who was also on our cruise. We had had breakfast with them earlier in the week. They asked us if we wanted to ride back with them in their rental car and I jumped on the chance to skip the 1.5 hour walk back! They took us back around 3:00 and we had a late lunch on the ship.
Our next activity was dinner in the dining room. We went at 6:15 again and enjoyed A Taste of the USA. I had baked potato soup, fried chicken, and apple cobbler. The dress for the evening was casual, but we decided to dress up a little.

After dinner we went to watch the new Mission Impossible at the pool. It was a good evening lounging and watching the movie. We were sailing to our next location overnight.
