what a wonderful response! I have not had the misfortune at dealing with Scoot but I have seen videos of people ripping the wheels off of their own bags because of something like this. 1cm is just absurd. I would understand if it was like a foot but they are splitting hairs here.
The carts with nothing for free is an obvious ripoff, I had one airline tell me that I couldn't bring my Nalgene that I filled up in the terminal on the plane and I just said "this was $80, it's coming with me" and they left it alone. Charging for water, and probably charging a LOT for water, is nuts. I understand if they want to rip us off for booze but there is probably some legal reason why they MUST supply water to customers we just haven't wanted to be on the receiving end of a TicTok video getting removed by security.
If I am traveling for a weekend to see a friend and can put everything in a small backpack, I would travel Spirit. My main beef with them involves a very specific situation that is more the fault of the booking website than Spirit.
