I am very pleased to write to you and participate again in an edition of CCC`s Street Art Contest that
organizes every week.
CCC`s Street Art Contest Round 122
In view of the participation in this week's contest, I want to present you a beautiful mural that I found in the city of Porto last November.
This mural is a tribute and homage to the women in charge of transporting and selling water in the city of Porto some decades ago.
Have you ever wondered how hard this job was and is? Even today in many countries in Africa, Asia or America there is still this need and this hard work that is usually done by women. From here I take my hat off to them and of weak sex nothing.
The location of this mural is Campo 24 de Agosto Street, which is the place where the Mijavelha water chest was located, a place where the aguaderas, the water that was later sold throughout the city, used to be stored.
The work was painted a couple of years ago by the Portuguese artist Godmess, whose work stands out at first glance for its great colorful murals as you can see on his instagram page.
Although it is not the most important mural in Porto, it was an important discovery for me, especially for discovering this Portuguese muralist, who I hope will be more and more common in Spain so that I can enjoy more of his murals in my country.
I hope you like my contribution to the contest.
