This year, the Moreau alley, not far from the Legal Wall de Rouen in Montreal, has changed a lot, especially this summer. Following the superb version done by Korb and Monk.E, which can be seen on StreetArt #806, new letterings appeared at the beginning of August thanks to Sober, Axe, Stak, Tyke, and Serak. This seems to have become the new wall of choice for this group of artists.

Cette année, la ruelle Moreau, pas très loin du Mur Légal de Rouen à Montréal, a souvent changé surtout cet été. Après la superbe version par Korb et Monk.E, à voir sur StreetArt #806, des nouveaux lettrages ont fait leur apparition au début du mois d'août gràce à Sober, Axe, Stak, Tyke et Serak. Cela semble être devenu le nouveau mur de prédilection de ce groupe d'artistes.

This wall is located in Moreau Alley in Montreal. The first noteworthy Street Art pieces were created during the Breaking Wall movement a few years ago.

Ce mur se trouve dans la ruelle Moreau à Montréal. Les premières oeuvres StreetArt d'intérêt ont été fait durant le Breaking Wall, il y a quelques années.

Sober & Axe

Replacing Korb's lettering, Sober created these letters, an interesting filling with a "cold blue" color palette, nice contrast the old version. Next to them is Axe, a writer who has been active on the streets of Montreal for many years. I'm very glad that Monk.E's flock of sheep was spared (bottom left).

Remplaçant le lettrage de Korb, Sober a réalisé ces lettres, remplissage intéressante avec une palette couleur froide au contraire de l'ancienne version. A côté, il s'agit de Axe, un writer actif depuis de nombreuses années dans les rues de Montréal. Je suis bien content que le troupeau de moutons de Monk.E a été épargné (en bas à gauche).

Since the lower sections of the works done during Breaking Wall in 2023 (I think 🤔) were tagged, some lettering has been added to cover them. This time, it's by Stak, an artist and musician. And next to it's a New York artist, Tyke, who was in Montreal this summer.

Comme la partie basse des œuvres faites lors du Breaking Wall en 2023 (je crois 🤔) avaient été tagguée, quelques lettrages sont venir les couvrir. Cette fois, il s'agit de Stak, artiste et musicien. Et à côté, il s'agit d'un artiste new-yorkais, Tyke de passage à Montréal cet été.

We're finishing this wall with Serak aka The Golden Raccoon (I love that nickname). His style is evident with his gothic lettering.
