We were invited to a Thanksgiving party of a cousin down the valley on Friday and while I would rather stay at home and do what I want, we do need to stay social in real life or we would be forgotten, lol! Kidding aside, it's also nice to go out and connect with other people. I believe the soul needs it. A relative once asked me some time ago why she seldom sees me on family occasions and it made me realize how I had been shying away from most of them.
Anyhow, after savoring lunch from the party, we thought of taking a drive some 3 kilometers away for some air and also letting our little guy run around the school grounds which he did (shared the first story in my previous post). And these photos of artwork were taken when we were on a stroll along the compound. I would have not noticed them but the husband kept motioning me to go to the other side while I was capturing some beautiful hydrangeas.
So after the photograph session with the flowers, I proceeded to where he wanted me to go and realized that he noticed the paintings by the school building wall. I was chuffed because he do know what I can share here on the blockchain.
If I were to interpret the paintings, I would say they depict some really powerful messages or stories that are related to education, achievements, progress, and such.
The first one on the slide features the colors of the country's flag. It's a fun work of art if I may say so, having that young lad wearing a traditional vest plus the huge bright smile on his face. There was no information about who the artist was but whoever he is, I like him already!
The next works also show joy or happiness on the people's faces, and like the first, they have the Philippine Eagle (the country's national bird). The last art had 2 names which makes me think they both made all those paintings. They seem to be drawn to justice, the medical field, safety or security.
I remember there were more artworks in some of the other buildings but we didn't go farther because it was already getting cold and we were wearing shorts at that time. Perhaps one day, we shall take another stroll and have the chance to photograph what we have missed.
This is all I could share this time. It's a lovely Sunday for us here in the North and we're having another lazy day, literally :)
