Don't stop till you serve kings.....
currently I'm working for a lady, a cake artist a very very exceptionally good one at that, it's not long I started working with her but from what Info I have gathered this lady is really ontop of the cake food chain here...
she's so good and well connected she handles cake for the elites of the society, including the governor, wife of chieftains, senators, she has very wealthy clientele.
one would easily dismissed this as based on who knows who to handle such contracts, but pause this isn't none of those, when I say she worked her ass off to where she is now, I mean it, she is so good that you can just be staring at her cake works and not what to touch it, the best of it's kind that I've ever known
excellence raises the bar, if you can attain it you will receive the crown, any body can get up and do something but an expert does it with a touch of excellence, paying keen attention to details and making sure that every aspect is strictly adhered to, excellence is that ability to do a thing exceptionally well that it's outstanding.
meanwhile it's what every body wants, they desire it but they are not willing to pay the price, forfiet immediate gratification for the greater good
let me ask you, have you ever seen a rolls Royce?, have you entered one before?, neither do I but the fact is till today rollroyce cars are considered true epitome of excellence, class elegance and price, mare looking at it you know this cost money, that's what Excellence is, a lot of us desires it, but we run away from paying the price and responsibility that comes with it
a man once told me, you see this life, at some point whether you're born rich or poor you must pay a price for something you need, sometimes it's beyond monetary value, these prices are the sacrifice you must make for the greater good,
the sad reality is you really can't eat your cake and have it, however most people till today are struggling to defy the odds...
excellence will demand diligent, consistency, hardwork, resilience, steadfastness dogged attitude, paying keen attention to details, creative mindset, out of this world imagination , when others says know what do you say..
the picture above is that of a cake we were working on it took us over 2-3hours to finish it, by the time were done, she came in examined it and flagged it down undo everything and start all over again, it hurts really bad but that is the price of excellence, it's either the best or nothing, I always tell my self there is no room for mediocrity, if there is the better version of anything I always ask myself why can't I have that one instead, I can't settle for less
the prize of excellence is where she has risen to today, having to talk and negotiate with high ranking clients all over the country, you can't see her works and not gaze at it for a minute,...
the prize of excellence is heavy compared to the price (sacrifices) you must pay now if you really want to serve kings.....
