Good morning, Hivers! Oh, what a Friday it has been already, and it's barely 11 AM here in Lagos! You know those nights where sleep just decides to play hide-and-seek? Well, that was my entire night. Despite not catching a single wink, the day had to start with a sprint, and I'm here to tell the tale!
My morning alarm actually felt more like a gentle suggestion because I was already wide awake. As early as 8 AM, I found myself navigating the bustling energy of Computer Village. If you know Lagos, you know Computer Village is a place of its own – a hive of activity where you can find almost any gadget or tech solution. I had a few crucial gadgets to pick up, and getting there bright and early was key to beating the peak rush. The air was already buzzing with vendors setting up, early bird shoppers, and the distinct sound of conversations blending into a unique Lagos symphony. It was a quick, focused mission, and thankfully, I got what I needed without too much hassle.
After my successful gadget hunt, it was a swift journey back home. The next item on my packed schedule was to get dressed and ready for a meeting this afternoon. The universe, or perhaps just good planning, was on my side because this particular meeting is thankfully online. That means I get to enjoy the comfort of my own space while still being productive, which is a huge blessing when you're running on zero sleep. I quickly changed into something appropriate for the online call – definitely prioritizing comfort without compromising on looking presentable!
Even with the early start and the lack of sleep, there's still that unique Friday energy bubbling beneath the surface. It's a reminder that no matter how hectic the morning starts, the promise of the weekend is just around the corner. I'm already mentally planning how I'll reclaim some of that lost sleep, perhaps indulge in some quiet crochet time later, or just enjoy a peaceful evening at home.
It’s moments like these that truly test your ability to adapt and push through. My brain might be feeling a little fuzzy, but the excitement of wrapping up the week and looking forward to some downtime keeps me going. The sun is shining, the city is vibrant, and despite the whirlwind start, it's a beautiful Friday.
How are your Fridays starting? Are you feeling the weekend vibes yet, or is it still a full-throttle sprint for you? Let me know in the comments!
