Another ten days. Bigger. Stronger. Healing. Upsilon FMO

Another ten days have passed and we are still standing.
No snappy quasi-philosophic essay for you today my friends. Just some free-style auto-writing for a change. Whatever comes to mind.
Speaking of mind, and drawing off of yesterday’s “snappy essay,” we have adopted the Matrix line about “The Splinter in the Mind.” We have adapted it into our personal lexicon. These splinters, surely there are more than one, represent these entrenched mindsets that go beyond world views. My most pervasive and annoying splinter is vessel deterioration. Most commonly referred to as “aging.”
We write, record and ponder aging and longevity, admittedly, in unequal measures leaning towards the longevity side. We take it for granted that we are going to “live” within this vessel and on this realm for a minimum of 360 years. Guess where I got that number. If this is indeed a simulation, as we pretend that it is, we should certainly be able to maintain our vessel for as long as we’d like to. And, keep it in pristine condition. If it’s “true” that these “chariots” as I have heard them referred to, are in a continuous state of regeneration, then we should be able to keep them from “wearing out.” From oxidizing. Or, rusting. Seizing up. Freezing up and rejecting, or expelling its Life Force. In other words, dying.
Here’s where the splinter comes in. Ever since reaching the half century mark, every subsequent lap Ego wonders, “Is this the year that we are supposed to ‘get old’?”
Maybe it’s not even Ego. Maybe it’s one of those demons. A doubt demon that is eternally buzzing around waiting for an opportunity to slip in and start agitating the imagination.
“You coughed or sneezed because you are getting old.”
“You aren’t going to recover from this injury as you did, when you were younger.”
“You’re slowing down old timer.”
Ego, shoots back, “Just a week ago we dead lifted 325 pounds in the gym, after only 6 weeks after being back in the gym.”
“But you’ve got this ‘thing,’” -- says the demon.
It’s not an “age” thing. We’ve had it before. It’s just something else we must heal.
The “splinter” is not only the idea that we “must,” “get old,” it’s that everything that aches, blurs, distorts, twinges, twitches, shakes, spasms, or whatever, is evidence of bodily deterioration.
What’s worse, is that everything and everyone around us, especially those that benefit financially from those “concerns,” amplify every little twitch, spasm, or hiccup into a chronic illness, (for which they have one weird alchemical “trick” to “manage” those symptoms.) Where have I heard that before?
On the flip-side, there is the health & wellness industrial complex with their powdered spices, herbs & mushroom concoctions that offer the same “miracles.” Plus maybe you’ll see specters and receive messages from the great beyond.
This vessel has the “secret” to longevity. That “secret” has gotten us right here. We are “older” right now than we have ever been. But we will never be this young again. This is truth. No quotes. Just plain truth.
Every ten days we do a check-in episode. It’s for our own archives. For the entertainment of our viewers, and maybe for their inspiration as well. For example, since November 13th, 2025 yours truly has been doing at least 100 biceps curls daily. The plan is to get 100 straight days of this practice in. Tomorrow, or very soon, we should get to day 100. It’s as much a matter of curiosity – what will happen – as the discipline involved. How does this help our viewers? Maybe they will try something similar, or in reverse. Maybe take one day at a time. “I am not going to, [insert whatever] today.” And record it on your device. Talk about how it feels. Share it or don’t share it. If you fail. Fess up. Start again. Record the excuses. Listen to them, Discredit one at a time until they no longer have a hold on you.
Do the same thing with a new practice. Record yourself. Watch yourself. Get to know how you move. Speak. Live. Keep what you like. Improve what you can. Discard what’s not working. We adhere to the axiom of “What gets measured, gets managed.” We go into this in this episode.
Maybe this qualifies as a snappy philosophical essay afterall. You tell me.
Cheers.
