The sole son and heir to the vast fortune came home from college for a few days of rest and relaxation. Rest and relaxation which thus far means eating all my food and drinking all my beer while invading the sacred and hallowed grounds of the man cave. And thus went #beerfriday in the House of
.
After twenty-four straight hours of xbox, the boy emerged from the man cave with the best suggestion thus far since his return.
"Dad lets go to a brewery."
Tears well up in my eyes, as mind thought, here is a boy after my own heart. Nay, here is man, just like his father and his father before him!
Let us confess on this #beersaturday, that when I was a younger man and I returned home, I drank my father's beer and ate my father's food. He seemed always a bit perturbed but would always chuckle, "I did the same to my father. What goes around comes around."
All I could say in response to the invitation, is "let's go!"
As we headed towards the door, we heard a familiar voice, and a familiar question that stopped us both dead in our tracks.
Seeing as I am the father, the answering to the Mrs. was left up to me, lest I lose my only son and heir to the wrath of his mother for some stupid smart ass response.
College might provide an "education" but it does not confer good senses.
So with a rather sheepish voice and a wry smile I said, "The boy and I thought we might run a few errands and then grab a beer or two at a brewery."
There it was, that look and then that sigh, "You have no errands to run and the two of you were sneaking off straight to the brewery. Give me those keys, I am driving. If the two of you think, for one second that I would allow the both of you to start drinking unsupervised, you have both lost your minds. The last time that happened . . . ."
I must confess, that I have an as of yet diagnosed medical condition and it is really weird. Whenever the Mrs. says the words "the last time that happened" my ears stop working.
Weird right?
So anyways, we and by we, I mean the three of us went to the Wiseman Brewery, with the Mrs. making some remark about this place being the only place where she might actually find a wiseman???? I am not sure what she said, as my ears had not fully recovered from that medical condition, but I don't think her remark was flattering. Just a hunch, but that is what I am going with.
We had a great time of supervised release at the brewery.

Watch the Video Below from the 80's Band Mr. Mister titled Kyrie Eleison.
Question: What does the Greek phrase "kyrie eleison" mean in English?
Good Luck and I will see y'all next #beersaturday.
