Another beer from Elysian. Not creamy like the last one I had, but instead, light, refreshing, and with a hint of pumpkin.
I always worry about light tasting beers, as many can taste watered-down and flat, but the Elysian Night Owl Pumpkin Ale was far from that.
Instead, the Elysian Night Owl's taste reflected in symmetry with it's appearance. It was an easy drink with bold flavors of pumpkin, cloves, and cinnamon. It was as if you actually added real pumpkin, cloves, and cinnamon to beer and mixed it in, like how they do with pumpkin spice lattes. While bold, it also wasn't too strong or hoppy either, which is something you'll typically find with an IPA.
According to the brewhouse, they describe the Night Owl as an "original pumpkin ale, brewed with pumpkin, roasted and raw pumpkin seeds, and spiced in conditioning with nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, ginger, and allspice."
I hope to someday visit their brewery.
Otherwise, I'm glad to try it at home. Cheers!
