For this weekend's #beersaturday adventure, I returned to an old friend in my favorite session beer; Moon Man, by New Glarus.
As I am getting ready to leave a company behind that I've spent 16 years at, my anxiety seems to be at an all-time high. Like any change, it's tough to estimate the unknown of the future. With five more working days to go, and nerves growing, we decided to take it easy tonight and make a cast iron meal while having a few Moon Mans. Easy enough!
I love this pale ale. The hop bill is very floral; the majority of hops are from the Yakima Valley, and one-fifth of the hops come from New Zealand. At only 5% ABV, it's no double, but you don't feel so bad the next day if you have more than one.
So what did make for dinner while enjoying our beers? We found a fusilli pasta dish recipe for the cast iron; we chopped up some mushrooms, red onions, and threw it on some grass-fed ground beef. We added some tomato sauce, herbs, and even some cheese to give is some kick.
We threw some fresh basil on from the garden, a bit more cheese presto! Dinner was served with a nice cold beer on the side.
Another easy enough #beersaturday. Not as fancy as some of those Toppling hazy beers, but still a good Saturday. If you are interested in joining the fun, definitely check out the link below :
Until next weekend, hoping everyone out there is having a wonderful Saturday too!
