Hello, beer lovers! ๐ป
What's new with you? Are things going well? Regardless of whether things are going well or poorly, take some time for a beer, and your perspective on the world will undoubtedly change.
The crypto world? Ah, let's leave that aside. Hive has been a safe haven for me for ten years now, so I'm not overly concerned. Everything is going according to plan, isn't it? :)
Anyway, 446 #beersaturday is here.
I have two cans in front of me, one Czech and one German, and I am happy to share my beer experience with you.
First, the one with less alcohol.
Budvar Dark Lager
Brewed by Budฤjovickรฝ Budvar, ฤeskรฉ Budฤjovice, Czech Republic.
Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 4.7% ABV, IBU 24. It's a dark lager style.
What do the Master Brewers say?
This premium dark lager has complemented the traditional range of beers from the Budฤjovickรฝ Budvar brewery since 2004. It is produced using the same process as the original light lager, using the finest ลฝatec hops, Moravian malt, water drawn from 300-meter-deep artesian wells, and three types of special-colored barley malts: Munich, caramel, and roasted.
It is characterized by a distinctly dark color and a dry, slightly bitter caramel flavor without any dominant sweetness. It has a delicate aroma of roasted malt.
The beer is dark brown, with a solid, slightly brown head. It has no particular aroma. It goes down smoothly, with a slight sweetness and bitterness on the palate, hints of caramel and, perhaps, roasted coffee.
A slight bitterness lingers in the aftertaste.
A drinkable, refreshing beer. I can hardly taste the roasted flavor characteristic of dark beers. This is not a stout or porter, but a lager โ bottom-fermented, clean, refreshing, and drinkable, despite its dark color. A classic dark lager, crushable, you can easily drink several glasses without any problems.
It is available at most local stores for โฌ1.40.
Let's keep going, I've got another beer!
Krombacher Weizen
Brewed by Krombacher Group, Kreuztal, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.
Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 5.3% ABV, IBU 16. Wheat beer, Hefeweizen
What do the Master Brewers say?
This is a well-balanced wheat beer. Vitamins, proteins, and minerals are preserved during the brewing process, producing a naturally tangy weizen with a golden colour and the unique Krombacher flavour. The convincingly fruity, full-bodied, and natural taste of our naturally cloudy Krombacher wheat beer was our only argument. See for yourself.
๐บ
The beer is cloudy, light brown, with average foam that quickly dissipates. It has no particular aroma. It goes down smoothly, with a slight sweetness in the mouth, a taste of fresh bread and bananas, perhaps cloves. No bitterness.
The aftertaste disappears quickly.
The beer is drinkable, balanced, and suitable for everyday drinking, but nothing special.
It has all the characteristics of wheat beers. It is not as complex as some others, but it's not something you'll remember next time. It's available at some local stores (Mercator, Spar, Tuลก) for โฌ1.25, but I think I will skip it next time and look for another wheat beer.
And what am I listening to when writing this and tasting beer? Something from Friday's #newtunes. New band for me, pleasant surprise.
Thank you for your attention.
