Hello, beer lovers! π»
How are you? If you're reading this, you've survived the New Year celebrations! π
I'm getting myself together, too, but since it's #beersaturday, and already the 444th in a row, I'm going to go back to beer. π΅βπ«
Namely, is this world becoming unpredictable, or are we all in some simulation/game? Who knows?
I have two cans, one Slovenian and one Czech, and I will be happy to share my experience with you.
HOPZ 2025 - Wet Hop NEIPA
Brewed by Green Gold Brewing, Ε empeter v Savinjski dolini, Slovenia.
Can, 0.33 l, alcohol 5.0% ABV, IBU N/A.
New England IPA style beer.
What do the Master Brewers say?
As is tradition here, every year during the magical harvest season, when the smell of hops fills the air around the brewery, we brew beer from fresh local hops. We chose the NEIPA style as a base, which we overloaded with over 100 kg of fresh STYRIAN FOX hops, harvested at the local Rojnik Hops farm.
πΊ
The beer is cloudy yellow, with average foam that quickly dissipates. It smells of hops and tropical aromas. It goes down smoothly, and I can taste the pleasant bitterness of hops, which is not excessive, followed by lemongrass and grapefruit.
In the aftertaste, the bitterness lingers.
A very drinkable beer, unfiltered, with intense fresh aromas. It's like eating fresh hops!
A slightly grassy, wet-hop character and tropical aromas. It arrived in local stores before the New Year, the price is very reasonable, β¬1.0, but it is a limited edition. I already regret not buying more.
I'll be able to find some more for the fridge next time!

Kozel Dark
Brewed by Pivovar VelkΓ© Popovice, VelkΓ© Popovice, StΕedoΔeskΓ½ kraj, Czech Republic.
Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 3.8% ABV, IBU 14.
Dark lager-style beer.
What do the Master Brewers say?
Kozel Dark beer is brewed to the original recipe using a special mix of dark malts, clean water from our own well close to the brewery, and a selection of the best hops. The caramelized malt gives this beer a unique ruby color and sweet flavor, thanks to which it is appreciated and respected all over the world.
πΊ
The beer is ruby in color, with a slightly brown, average head that quickly disappears. It smells of lightly roasted malt. It goes down smoothly, and I can taste a hint of sweet caramel malt in my mouth, followed by notes of chocolate and dark fruit, and finally a mildly bitter aftertaste of hops that lingers for a while.
A very drinkable and refreshing beer! Simple, light, yet dark, it is very balanced due to its low alcohol content and suitable for everyday drinking. It is available practically everywhere here, and I think it is even better than the classic Kozel light lager. The price of β¬1.15 is reasonable.
I am satisfied with both. I have made a good start to the new year, I think, and I hope there will be more readers than bots.
And what am I listening to when writing this and tasting beer? Nothing from Friday's #newtunes.
Something else, grandiose and classic. Short but magnificent. Listen!
