In my previous blog about how we celebrated all saints day, i mentioned that we stopped by Titay's in Liloan. Today, i want to share about this famous biscuit company, in detail. This is located in the Northern part of Cebu province. As seen in their signage, it has been around since 1907. This shop sells bread and delicacies perfect for pasalubongs.
Upon entering the place, you can see different breads and biscuits on display. If your looking for a pasalubong, you might want to try their rosquillos and otap biscuits. Cebuanos love to pair these delicacies with a hot milk as an afternoon snack or even as breakfast.
My siblings and i personally love their meat roll and Torta bread. While my mother loves their ube ensaimada. Unfortunately, when we got there, the meat roll is already sold out. Since it was almost dinner time and the traffic outside is unbearable, we decided to have our light dinner at Titay's.
There are tables and chairs across the counter for us to dine.
There are also picture frames hanging in the walls where the history of the bakeshop is written. As i scan the frames, i learned that the founder of Titay's is Margarita "Titay" Frasco, whose decendant is the Mayor of the Municipality of Liloan, Duke Frasco.
Being here and eating their pastries bring back a lot of childhood memories. If you happen to visit Liloan, don't forget to visit this place.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one.
Sending some love and light!
