We went out for a drive one lovely evening when, after just a few minutes, we saw a new store that had popped up, seemingly from out of nowhere, but more likely because we did not notice it before, unaware of what's happening while driving around town and going from place-to-place. I gotta say, it looked sparkling and clean; as if it had just opened the night before. It looked really nice and I saw that the parking lot had vacant spots so I did what any starving human being at 10 o'clock in the evening would do - go in the store and get some food and drinks.
As we approached the counter, I began to realize that they were selling veggie burgers. I mean, how cool was that. Serendipity has a way of showing it's beautiful head when you least expect it. LOL.
This evening was turning out to be a great one. With Plant-based Whooper at only Php223.00 (around US$4.10) and and Php278.00 (US$5.11) with drinks and fries, it was a steal. We ordered the Plant-based Whopper Jr. Meal, which was only Php164.00 (US$3.02) and it was amazing. The fries were especially good, because it was big and it had good "natural" flavor. Unlike the fries from other places,these were of good size and fatter than the usual fast-food fries sold on the market these days.
The burgers were really good. It was tasty and filling, plus it had a good amount of dressing that really gives it that good vibes.
It was a really satisfying evening for us. Being vegetarian for a long time now, I could never have imagined that one day, the big fast-food brands will be selling plant-based. For me, it's a good sign that people are really beginning to understand the value of eating a plant-based diet not only for our bodies, but also for the planet. This evening made me really happy and excited for the things that will be coming out in the market next.
Overall, I would rate this as a 4/5. It was affordable, delicious, and fun to eat. The fries in the meal was great, and the ambiance was really cool and nice to eat in. It really blows my mind that this was very near our place. So, another hangout location has been added to my itinerary.
