Greetings to the wonderful people of the wonderful Hive world! Hope all are doing well. Life as a working mom has been so busy but thankfully been able to manage not to forget to continue the ministry that God had entrusted. Today, I am going to share our third monthly Children's Feeding we had last month of February and the great fellowship we had after.
We planned to have Spaghetti for the children on the second monthly feeding, but it was not realized then because we are out of budget. Finally, we prepared Spaghetti and sliced bread for the children on our third monthly feeding. It is the favorite food of my daughters and most of the kids here in our place.
Feeding the Lovely Souls
We bought the sliced bread on the way going there. Sister Chela was the one preparing the Spaghetti with the help of some Church mates who came early to their house. Thanking so much for these helping hands, this feeding won't be as successful as it was without them.
Right on time when we got there, the Bible class was already done, and the children were just waiting for the food. Since it was raining that day, only a few joined the Saturday Bible class and were fed.
Three kilos of cooked spaghetti were more than enough. There was more of it left for us adults and young people for our lunch.
The food was ready to be served and the children fell in line. We let them inside sister Chela's house because it was still raining.
Two of our beautiful young ladies gave the food to the children. And happily, they ate the Spaghetti and sliced bread.
Yummy Spaghetti and sliced bread. Looking at them I felt hungry too 😁.
This was good as their lunch already because it was past 11 am.
The Great Fellowship with the People Behind
These were the people behind every monthly feeding we had. Our brothers and sisters in faith. Even if the weather was not good but they managed to join in helping the ministry.
After feeding the children, we had our turn to taste the delicious spaghetti sister Chela had prepared. And not just that, she was preparing a sumptuous lunch for all of us.
We enjoyed eating lunch together like a family. The best food is best eaten with the best people in our lives. We were so full not only of our stomachs but also of our hearts. After lunch, we played guessing games and laugh like we were kids again.
Lastly, we drank the fresh, sweet juice of coconut fruit that we got from their coconut tree.
Going Back Home
The time came that we need to go back home. Again, we are going to walk through the muddy and slippery road. But this time it was harder because the rain did not stop yet.
The road had become muddier and rainwater had covered almost all the ground.
There were many times that Daddy had to carry Janneah because it was hard to walk.
At last, we had reached the foot of the mountain and we survived the struggles on the way, lol. I slip on my way down. Good thing I am only holding my phone.
We washed our feet in the flowing water just down beside the concrete barangay road.
This day was a complete success for we have the following: family, friends, feeding, fun, food, and fellowship. And the happiness cannot be compared to the struggles we had on our way.
Thank you for the time spent reading. Hope you enjoy it.
Till next blog, with love mommyjane 😘.
