Hi everyone! Welcome to another show and tell story of how food and place could somehow aid a good escape.
We usually do not make plans for some things because the more we plan it, the less successful for it to happen. So here's another random day out that I want to share - the food and the place we chose to hang out to breathe a little from the exhaustion of life.
Going back to being random, it is our quick decision to eat out and find a nice view to perfectly spend our time together. Our go-to restaurant especially if we are craving for sumptuous food is none other than Casa Verde.
WHY CASA VERDE?
Casa Verde are Spanish terms which mean green house. Green is the color of the owner's ancestral house (the main restaurant) as shown in the photo below. You might ask, why Spanish terms? It is because of the owner's Spanish origin.
At the moment, Casa Verde turned out to be one of the most popular and successful family-owned restaurants in whole Cebu.
Before the clock hits 12 noon, we headed to Casa Verde's main restaurant. This is located at 69 Lim Tiang Teng, Cebu City. (They have other branches in The Walk, Abad St., Cebu City, Ayala Center Cebu, Parkmall Mandaue, SM Seaside, Lapu-lapu City and other branches in Manila). They're open from 10AM to 9PM daily.
Here is the menu.
I ordered Casa Verde's most popular and best seller, Brian's Ribs, (baked pork ribs at Php378) and Buffalo Wings (a breaded chicken wings, fried and served with blue cheese dressing at Php265) with one extra rice for takeout. It is for takeout because we wanted to find a place, somewhere, away from the heat and buzz of the city.
While I was waiting for my order, I spent my time taking pictures. The few times I was here before were, I wasn't yet a blogger, so I didn't take photos that much, and on the recent visit, I was in great hunger and in a hurry. Now, I have enough time to take pictures of its facade and everything visible to my human eyes. Lol!
Come on, let's take a little look inside!
The ambiance looks simple yet attractive and pleasing to the senses.
The tables and chairs perfectly match the design of the entire area.
The wooden touch of the interior design makes the ambiance of the restaurant light, including the aesthetic wooden ceiling.
The lights and fans were well-chosen. Simple yet charming. The place has a touch of a combined past and present era.
(There are sets of tables and chairs inside for dine-in customers which I do not take pictures with since my order is for takeout.)
After 30 minutes, the order was ready. We directly left the restaurant and drove along the mountains of Cebu City.
THE VIEW
We bumped into this area where trees are generous enough to share their shade so without second thoughts, we stopped right here and were ready to eat our lunch. Eating while being accompanied by this view is incredibly awesome.
THE FOOD
The food is undeniably delicious and the view is remarkably beautiful - best for people who want to escape the busy life of the city.
This is all for this blog. Thank you for your time reading this. I pray that everyone is safe and well. Until the next writing.
