Good day, everyone! How are you doing? Glad to be here again hivers, hope you too. Another blog of my life. Many happenings occur this month, and even with a busy schedule, I always look forward to the fact that I can enjoy the road and see the beauty of a greener nature. I never had an idea how I could have time to still write this blog of mine due to a bulk of things to do.
First, we went to Bogo City to drop off the things of my sister after she finished her practicum at a prestigious school in Cebu. It's a sad thing that I wasn't able to take a picture of the happenings again because I helped carry all the things inside Aunties home. Right after that, I just didn't notice that Papa is already a plant lover, and as you can see in the car, I have lots of plants right at the back of where I am standing. He took all those plants from our aunt's house.
When we reach home, we are preparing ourselves for a Thanksgiving party in our barangay. My sister had to go first because, as the SK Chairwoman of the barangay, she still needed to prepare other things. As I reached the gym, I saw the Sab-a Elementary DLC assembly themselves for a parade. But then we agreed not to have that parade. It's because it is so hot outside and we don't want the kids to be exposed to too much sunlight, especially in the afternoon.
That's my sister right there giving instructions to the kids to just present inside the gym. And I forgot again that the event also included the opening of SK activities like basketball, the Parol Contest every Purok, and others. I just couldn't imagine how busy my sister was during practicum and that she still managed to prepare everything for the upcoming activities, even printing all the certificates needed for the DLC members as they were the third placers during the district meet.
This is the most challenging and sad part of this event I've seen. Do you know why? Did you see that car right there being parked right inside the gym where the event will be held? Oh yes, actually, we have no electricity for now. Sad right? But it's where we can see how barangay officials use there skills and knowledge so that they can still use the sound system and mic until the program is finished. Yes, they were able to find an alternative just for the event to go smoothly, using the battery of the car to provide power. Good thing that one of the councilors got a car too, but anyway, seeing the happenings makes me really happy. Nothing is happier when everyone is just united, sharing there blessings, love, and cooperation during this momentous event.
The giving of certificates of appreciation to some of the barangay employees was assisted by barangay captain Giovane Singuran. During his previous term, some of the employees also received a certificate, a 5-kilos sack of rice, and gift cash.
After the giving of certificates and all, they also have a photo opt.
And in the next part, there are different games that everyone can join. I am even happy to see everyone enjoying this day. This is one of the great days for all Sab-ahanons to enjoy together, celebrating the victory of the newly elected barangay officials.
We can't deny the fact that there are misunderstandings sometimes, but as we go on with our lives, we think even better that we have to move forward, not just for ourselves but for all the people that comprise this amazing society.
Being patient in everything that we do and choosing to listen first before talking. All of us are not perfect, and we have to widen our minds to avoid disputes.
Did you know why I always include a picture of some of my family as a companion to where I am going? It is because they are one of the reasons I smile. I can never be productive during the day without them, especially at events like this. I am not a member of the youth anymore, but I'd like to contribute a little act of love to what they do.
The moment we decided to be together, we needed to be happy. Life is short, and sometimes we even think of bonding like "budol," as they say. It's because food is always at the center of every occasion and a bond between you and a group of people. Food is life, as others say. Occasions like this can never be complete without lechon; sad to say, no more whole lechon when I arrived. They see to it that everyone can eat, so they have to ask someone to chop it.
My blog for today will just be here as I am sleepy already. I thank everyone for supporting me right from the start. My joy of writing here will always be because of the people behind this opportunity of mine and because of my passion in writing some of my memorable experiences in life.
The beautiful view of my hometown as I pass by going home.
Thanks, Hivers, and God bless all of us!!
