Good morning! Well, well, well. Looks like I have already failed the blogging challenge after the first day! LOL! I'll probably be the last person to complete it. Anyway, I am here to continue the challenge posted by , "Let's Do A 30-Day Blogging Challenge!!!.
Second on the blogging challenge list is to tell 10 things about you, so here goes mine!
10 "DID YOU KNOW" FACTS ABOUT STRAYKAT
#1 DRAWING IS MY FAVORITE HOBBY...
Ever since, people who know me personally knows that I like to draw. Back in elementary and high school, classmates and teachers would most likely pick me when there is an art-related thing that needs to done. But..but..but! Disclaimer!!! I have to admit that my drawings are not very good. I just really like to draw, and watching the show Art Attack really kept my interest with drawing. Fast forward to 2016, I got a drawing tablet and here I am now, improving and enjoying my hobby.
And since I'm talking about drawing, I have an Instagram account for my drawings and Youtube channel where I will be uploading some animation stories..maybe soon..maybe someday. Lol!
#2 I CAN CROCHET
Surprise! I haven't posted anything related to crochet yet but, yes, I can crochet. I hold my hook and work with my yarn when there's a pattern or piece that piques my interest or when I need to make one. Just like my drawing skills, my skills in crocheting is just between beginner and intermediate. Haha. But at least, I was able to make use of this skill to create a handmade gift for my favorite singer. I gave it to her personally. *(Yieee!!!) *
My favorite stitch is the half double crochet. They say crocheting is relaxing to do. Yes, it is! But it can be problematic when you've lost count of the stitches and doesn't turn out like on the sample photo. Lol.
#3 I LOVE ANIME
I have a love and hate relationship towards anime. I hate that it had consumed lots of my time but I love it because it's awesome. I started getting addicted to it summer of 2012 and little did I know that I will be into it for many years. I stopped watching around 2018 because I have other things to do, but I still do love anime even though I can no longer have time to get updated with what's new. I still plan to watch those on going shows I left behind though, like Attack on Titan, Haikyuu, and One Piece.
#4 I COSPLAY(ed)
Of course, one of the ultimate dreams of an anime fan is to wear a costume of their favorite character! Not sure if it's a coincidence, but at the peak of anime fan life, our college department held a cosplay competition for the acquaintance day. After several deliberations between my non-anime fan friends, I, and our other weeb friend, we submitted our application for the competition. Some people may not appreciate cosplayers because it seems childish, joining the contest made me realize how difficult and expensive this hobby can be. You have to be resourceful (if you want to lessen your expenses), creative, and have good portrayal skills. Lol. And of course, lots of passion and guts to cosplay! Knowledge in editing audio may also be needed. (I edited the audio for our performance.)
We cosplayed the female characters and Deidara in the anime Naruto. I remember not sleeping a day before the competition because aside from feeling nervous and excited, I still have to create Deidara's props and teach my friends the battle scene for our performance. We joined the contest not only because to experience cosplaying but to have a beautiful memory to laugh about after many years!! It was our first and last time too! Haha! We won the competition, by the way!!
Here's the video if you want to watch! Hahahaha!!!!
#5 I-I-InTr0VeRT w/ SoCiaL AnXieTy~
I have always been the quiet one but I can be loud too sometimes when I'm with friends and be chattery when the topic interests me. But for most group conversations, I am always caught for being quiet. Lol. It's not that I am not interested or don't want to contribute to the topic, I'd rather just listen most of the time. I hope people don't get offended by that. And also, don't be fooled when I seem talkative online because online and real life is a different thing. I'd most likely just stare and smile at you when you meet me in real life. Lol.
Aside from being an introvert, I can strongly feel that I also have social anxiety. This is weird but I get this feeling of being watched when walking in a crowd, in front, or just anywhere in public where there are people. I also dislike being watched and judged by people. Social situations can pressure me a lot as well, especially when meeting a new person or being the center of attention. I hate it when my hands or voice tremble and most especially when people notice and point it out. Video chat is also a nightmare even when it's just my friends.Though I can say that my social anxiety level is still mild because I still can be social sometimes but there's a huge tendency that I shut down after it. That means not hearing from me for a couple of days. Lol. It's also the reason why I can be very slow to respond on messages and replies, like here on Hive. Sorry. >.<
#6 I MISS SOME WORDS WHEN TYPING
It worries me that I tend to skip words when typing, then only realize it after I've submitted the blog or sent the message. It's embarrassing especially when you're writing a formal letter. Lol. Fortunately, the tendency of skipping words is still considered "normal". They say, your brain just works fast that your hands can't cope up with it.
#7 A DENGUE VICTIM
Getting the dengue virus could cost you your life if it becomes severe or left untreated. I was in high school when I acquired the virus. I stayed in hospital for 9 days and rested for a week at home before returning to school. I missed a lot of class activities, lessons, quizzes, and our 3rd quarter exam (it was December when I got sick) and only returned a day before the Christmas party. After the holiday break, I took the quizzes and exam alone in a room together with my class adviser.
#8 YOU CAN FIND ME AT THE EDGE OF THE POOL
No matter how many times my friends teach me how to swim, I really can't do it! Sorry, friends! I'd still go with you in the pool, but only in the shallow parts, of course! And if the boat sinks, please don't forget to save me! Lol.
#9 I CAN DRIVE BUT I DON'T
My mother enrolled me to a driving school during college though I wasn't able to apply for a driver's license because I was busy with my thesis until I forgot or lost interest on getting one. I still remember the first day of my driving class where my instructor let me drive on a busy road with one lane under construction. Lucky we didn't fall into the lane being constructed. Lol! The last time I drove a car was still in 2014. It's fun to drive but also makes me really anxious at the same time.
#10 POSSESSING THE DOUBLE SIMIAN LINE
(Maybe you're now staring at your palms too. Lol!)
This straight lines happen when the head line and heart line merges. Having this on one palm is rare and is much more unfamiliar when you have it on both palms.
In scientific studies, they relate this line to Down's Syndrome because half of people who this condition have simian line on their palm/s. But not all people with this type of palm have Down's Syndrome, of course. Meanwhile, in palmistry, it is said that the wielder of simian lines are intense, extreme and have an "all-or-nothing" personality. And since they are extreme people, they either have massive success or massive failure. As someone with this line on her palms, I can agree with it.
In Japan, they call the simian line the "Masukake" line or the mark of the conqueror. They believed people with these lines will reach big success and acquire power or influence.

Now that my palms are exposed to the world, feel free to read my palms but don't forget to tell me what you see in it. Lol!
That's all! Sorry if it took a long before I resume the blogging challenge! I'll try better next time!! >.<
