We all have done something embarrassing at one point in our lives and we rather throw them into the void so they get forgotten forever. I hate it when it suddenly flash on my mind and I just cringe in the corner with my face like this --> ➰ââŽā˛°
So the 15th blogging challenge is about sharing an embarrassing story. The blogging challenge is initiated by . Check out her post, Let's Do A 30-Day Blogging Challenge!!!
Well, the blogging challenge probably just require one, but I'll share two stories since they're only short.
Last 2016, my friend and I attended a free short course for baking bread and pastry. As usual I arrived late on class because I still prepared the requirements like the barangay clearance needed for the enrollment. I was so embarrassed because I was already late, I was even thinking to back out from attending the course but my friend insisted that I go. So I arrived at the school before lunch and peeked at the door where the class was on going. I got more embarrassed seeing that they are already cleaning the table and baking tools. When someone noticed me, I slowly took a step from the door and everyone looked at me. Oh yes, anxiety is at its peak! And when anxiety kicks in, I tend to do the dumbest things. I shyly smiled, leaned, and hugged the huge cabinet-like thing on my left.
The next thing I heard were loud screams while looking at me. I can still remember their horrified expression. Well, it all happened in a split second, I immediately moved myself away when I saw their faces. It turns out that the cabinet-like thing was a huge oven. đđđ I literally felt the hot metal on my arms when I hugged it but thankfully my skin wasn't burned. Not even a single sign of redness. My friend immediately came to me and checked my arms. Lol.
Second embarrassing story was last year when my mother and I went to eat a popular ramen restaurant for dinner. After eating we paid for the food and waited for the change. The restaurant was so busy and they could've forgotten about us already. I was feeling a bit irritated too because the area was too noisy. There was music but the voices of people chatting from other tables dominated. It wasn't like what I was expecting. I thought the place will be quiet or have minimal noise since it's a fancy restaurant.
After waiting for like 10 minutes, we decided to proceed to the little counter beside the restaurant's door to get the change and receipt. When we got out, my mother laughed and asked me why I got the 40 Pesos change and left the receipt. She thought I was only getting the receipt. I was dumbfounded and told her that I thought she wanted to get the change so I took it, but she was also right. Why did I left the receipt? Why did I get the change when it should be their tip. đđđ That was so embarrassing thinking that that ramen place is fancy. That's why the two staffs quietly stared at me when I took the change. Until today that memory still haunts me. Lol! I promised myself that I am not returning to that restaurant ever again! Even though the restaurant is an authentic Japanese restaurant. đ *( Well, the ramen tastes just like the regular seafood noodles in cups we buy at the groceries. I still prefer the other ramen restaurant we went to in 2017.) Anyway, my mother and I laughed at what happened while finding the exit of the mall. *
Ah, the things I do when I get nervous and irritated! đ
