Esta vez les voy a mostrar parte del proceso de hacer una un dije de símbolo de origen celta llamado Triskel, del cual se cuenta era usado por los antiguos druidas, esta figura está conformada por 3 espirales que se unen en un punto central y tiene las siguientes representaciones simbólicas según Significados.com:
🟡 Pasado, presente y futuro.
🟡 Cuerpo, mente y espíritu.
🟡 El principio y el fin
🟡 La evolución y el crecimiento.
También era un talismán mágico para la sanación.
Sobre lo que concierne a la elaboración de esta pieza, lo primero fue hacerla en la computadora, como un dibujo a líneas que sirven de guía para el corte y escalar las figuras a un tamaño adecuado, en este caso 2,5 cm aproximadamente y por último diagrama la imagen en una hoja tamaño carta para imprimir.
Para hacer esta pieza de joyería usé:
- Lámina de bronce de 0.7 mm y alambre de bronce de 1 mm para la argolla
- Arco de segueta para joyería, hojas de sierra 2/0
- Lijas 3M número 220, 360 y 400.
- Broca o fresa 0.7 mm para abrir hueco en metal.
- Dremel.
- Motor de Banco.
- Cera de pulir para joyería y mopas o discos de tela de algodón para hacer el proceso de pulido.
- Pinzas de Joyería.
- Dado de embutir de madera con su mazo.
- Pega de barra
PROCESO
Lo primero que hice fue pegar la impresión del triskel en la lámina de bronce de 0.7 mm, abrí los huevos con el Dremel con la fresa de 0.7 mm y después empecé a calar o cortar las áreas internas usando el arco de segueta y las sierra 2/0, estos procesos los pueden apreciar en la imagen de arriba.
Aquí ya avance con el par.
Después con el mismo arco de segueta y sierra se corta la silueta exterior, una vez logrado esto se quita la impresión para ir corrigiendo con utilizando la segueta y las limas los detalles de la figura.
Le apliqué fuego con el soplete para destemplar el metal, deje que se enfriara la pieza para después voltear el triskel y colocarlo en el dado de embutir para golpear con un mazo de madera darle forma cóncava.
Así quedan las piezas embutidas, se ven chamuscadas, pero luego le daré lija.
Le pase a la pieza lija 3M desde la número 220, pasando por la 360 y por último la 400. Después de este proceso procedo a pulir con el motor de banco, empleando una mopa de tela de algodón y cera.
Por último, le agrego la argolla por donde pasara el collar.
Este es el resultado final después de mandar a darle un baño de plata.

This time I am going to show you part of the process of making a pendant of a symbol of Celtic origin called Triskel, which is said to have been used by the ancient druids, this figure is made up of 3 spirals that meet at a central point and has the following symbolic representations according to Significados.com:

Regarding the development of this piece, the first thing was to do it on the computer, as a line drawing that serves as a guide for cutting and scaling the figures to a suitable size, in this case approximately 2.5 cm, and finally diagram the image on a letter size sheet to print.
To make this piece of jewelry I used:
- 0.7 mm bronze sheet and 1 mm bronze wire for the ring
- Hacksaw for jewelery, saw blades 2/0
- 3M number 220, 360 and 400 sandpaper.
- 0.7 mm drill or milling cutter to open a hole in metal.
- Dremel.
- Bank Engine.
- Polishing wax for jewelry and mops or cotton cloth discs to do the polishing process.
- Jewelry Tweezers.
- Wooden mortise die with its mallet.
- Stick bar
PROCESS
The first thing I did was paste the impression of the triskel on the 0.7mm bronze sheet, I opened the eggs with the Dremel with the 0.7mm cutter and then I started to jig or cut the internal areas using the hacksaw and the 2/0 saw, these processes can be seen in the image above.
Here I already advance with the pair.
Later, with the same arch and saw, the exterior silhouette is cut, once this is achieved, the impression is removed to go correcting the details of the figure using the saw and files.
I applied fire with the blowtorch to temper the metal, let the piece cool down and then turn the triskel over and place it in the mortise die to hit it with a wooden mallet to give it a concave shape.
This is how the embedded pieces remain, they look charred, but I'll sand them later.
I pass 3M sandpaper to the piece from number 220, going through 360 and finally 400. After this process I proceed to polish with the bench motor, using a cotton cloth mop and wax.
Finally, I add the ring through which the necklace will pass.
This is the final result after sending it to be given a silver bath.
