A lot of things happen when you're on a diet, because the word 'diet' means reducing your body's consumption of energy intake. It could be, because of that you lack vitamins, minerals and other needs for the body. Hormonal disturbances will also occur over time if your diet is very extreme and it will make your body's metabolism decrease. In addition, its so possible that acne and rashes on the skin may occur.
Recently something happen to my body without me notice, I still don't know what causes it. Acne come to my face for the last 3 months, the scars are still not healed. Yes, as diabetes, scars or pimples on the skin will be difficult to fade, maybe it's different from people in general. So if there is a wound on the skin layer be very difficult to remove, it will take a long time for that. Usually in normal people it will disappear in 2-3 weeks, for diabetes it will take 3-4 months. That of course depends on the treatment of the injure part.
High glucose in the blood will cause blood cells to not work properly, so it will be very sad for diabetes if you have an injury or pimple that is difficult to get rid of. For that, I try hard to get rid of my acne from treatments at beauty clinics and foods that are suitable for nutrition for my skin. One of them is making smoothies or trying something new that has been proven effective for acne treatment.
Indeed, the diet factor has an impact on the pimples on my face, you can see, the dark spots are getting more and more and it's stressing me out a bit. Stress is a condition that can make a diet fail, because it makes my midset change and fluctuate. So, I'm looking for some suitable fruit alternatives, which are rich in anti-oxidants, high in vitamin C and other minerals that can maintain skin moisture. That's what I got from beets. You know that red fruit does have extraordinary properties.
Beetroot
Beets have a very beautiful color, a purplish red color which always excites me, similar to dragon fruit but the color is stronger. However, in contrast to dragon fruit, beetroot has an unpleasant taste, it even tends to be unpleasant if you just eat it as it is. I can't even drink it because it's like eating dirt. Because beets are also one of the plants that vines on the ground, that's why it feels like that. But why is it different from the taste of carrots which tends to be more delicious?
Thankfully I have a solution to make beetroot much more enjoyable to drink. Getting rid of the sticky earthy smell is the most important thing in making beets into delicious smoothies, even better than anything else. I've been trying smoothies recipes for a week, but this is the most delicious taste. So you don't have to have trouble drinking beets anymore. It really feels like it won't be torturous even though its properties are like medicine. Medicine should taste good because it will heal.
I have just 3 ingredients to process beets into delicious smoothies, I also make these smoothies into pre-workout drinks because beets have the property of adding energy, you know. so I don't have to bother making coffee/tea and toast to make my body energized.
So, you only need 200 gr beets, 150 gr apple and 150 ml kombucha. I have leftover kombucha in the fridge, the last stock I have. However, if you don't have kombucha, you can adding apple cider vinegar. Apple vinegar as an ingredient that will remove the odor from the stinging beets. I think that is a challenge that beets have from the myriad of benefits they have.
All fruit ingredients are peeled, but before that they must be washed under running water. I don't like the texture of the apple skin, so I peel it off and it was better. I dont use sugar because apple have a very sweet taste. Put all the ingredients in a blender and dilute with kombucha, so it's easy to make it smoother.
Blended it for 2 minutes or longer, all the fruit was mix really well, even the texture was very soft and the taste completely changed. Sour and sweet flavors are more dominant, I don't even feel the earthy smell on the beets. Like red dragon fruit smoothies in general from a visual standpoint.
