Some time ago we were holding a religious study at my brother's house and he provided a fruity, namely watermelon. And when I was helping to peel the watermelon, my other brother said that he wanted a few pieces of watermelon skin to take home.
Honestly, I was very confused as to why she brought the skin only. Because as far as I know, the skin can only be used to make duck dishes in my area. Then I asked, Auntie, what did you bring the watermelon skin home for?! She said to make juice and be drunk by her husband. And she said that after her husband drank the juice he became healthy.
Unfortunately I don't really remember what her husband was sick with. And finally I look for found out about the benefits of watermelon rind juice.
One of them is to smooth Digestive Health. And also maintain heart health.
So I also brought some pieces of watermelon skin to make juice because I was curious about the taste.
Ingredients needed;
- several pieces of watermelon skin (3-4 large pieces)
- 200 ml water
- 1/4 lime
How to make:
Then put it in a blender along with water. And puree it.
Once smooth. Take a strainer and then share the juice to separate the pulp from the water.
Drinks are ready to be served..
Because I want the juice to be a little cold without putting ice cubes.. So I put it in the refrigerator for a while.
Lime has citric acid which can stimulate the production of digestive fluids and smooth metabolism, while watermelon skin contains fiber which is good for digestion
