Lassi is South Asian Traditional drink in South Asian countries. In English it is known as Butter Milk. Lassi is cold, refreshing and dehydrating drink Served in hot days.
Summer in South Asian countries is severe. When we go outside we cannot bear the hot temperature. Heat strock is common here due to hot weather conditions. So, we always have to keep ourselves hydrated. Dehydration leads to many health complications and brings serious consequences.
Lassi can be of two types :
1-Sweet Lassi
2-Salty Lassi
preference
It is upto person, wether he wants to gulp sweet or salty. It's matter of taste bud's demand. Difference is just a bit and that is of sugar and salt.
Recipe
Today, we made salty Lassi and the recipe is given below;
1-Yougurt (2cups)
2- Water (2 cups)
3-Either salt or sugar
(If you are adding salt then keep in mind that salt should be just little. Because you just have to make it bit salty. In case if you are making sweet lassi then keep in mind that sugar should be according to your taste. You can easily make assumption about quantity.)
Today I Made Lassi
At first we brought yougurt from market and we blend it in blender.
After blending the yougurt i added salt in separate sauce pan. Because i was making salty lassi or you can say salty butter milk.
Later on, Add water in it. Surprisingly you can add as much water as you can. But i will recommend that add a little. By adding less quantity of water it will taste much good. You can add ice cubes into it to make it cold. We didn't add ice cubes because we don't have freezer in our hostel. So we have to go with simple lassi without ice.
In my hostel, there is a class which is made up of clay so i preferred to use it. As it was looking unique.
O, i am drinking it is amazing 🤩.
Thanks.
