Maybe the title of my post is funny, but it is not really fun for me at all. There has a very popular dialogue in a Hindi movie named "OM Santi OM"; "Ek Chutki Sindur Ka Kimat, tu keya samjhogi Ramesh Babu". If you are a married Bachelor or an unmarried Bachelor (Wife is not living with you) I'm damn sure this dialogue makes sense in your everyday life. Being a 100% pure Bachelor I can feel every word of this dialogue. "Bachelor Honeka Dard, Tu Keya Samjhogi Louis (In English: Do you understand the pain of being a bachelor, Louis? (Note: Once Louis XII & Joan of France Youngest Married Couple)".
The present Contest is really very Challenging for the 100% pure Bachelor people. Because the Contest is"Write a Post about cooking a Dessert", Which is completely against the Law of Bachelor Life but you will be very happy because I not against this contest. I got one week to think about what I'm gonna write (Not Cook) for participating and Finally I got the most popular and traditional Dessert in Bangladesh is "Coconut Naru".
Let's make some fun for making some special "Coconut Naru:
"Naru Shah" is the name of my uncle in my native village. When I was so little I really very confused "What is the difference between Uncle Naru and Coconut Naru?" May it was a very funny question for you, but I swear I was really very confused When I was able to see Uncle Naru this question used to disturb me. When I was able to understand the difference between Uncle Naru and Coconut Naru, then another question started to disturb my mind. Why people were calling him "Naru"? When I was unable to control the pain of this question, I went to my Grandmother and asked her why people called this Man as "Naru". She started to laugh and gave the answer to my question like this "This Man Love to Eat "Coconut Naru" very much when he was so little at the time of "Durga Puja" he used to visit every house in our village and used to collect "Coconut Naru" from every house. He never asked for another sweet item only asked for "Coconut Naru" from then people used to call him " Naru".
After getting the answer to my question from my Grandmother I was not satisfied, because this time another question was started to disturbing my mind. I was also so fan of "Coconut Naru" and loved so much to eat this delicious dessert. Will people also Called me "Naru Shadon". I became very tense and went to my mother and asked her "Maa" Naru Uncle loves to eat "Coconut Naru" So people are calling him Naru, I also love to eat Naru so much, Will people also call me "Naru" or "Naru Shadon". My mother started to laugh and told me "No my Son" "Coconut Naru" is very delicious sweet, every people love to eat "Coconut Naru" very much. Now tell me, my son, will we call everyone "Naru"? If you love to eat any sweet very much never show greediness for it" If you show greediness for your favorite sweet people will use to call you with the name of the sweet. After having the most satisfactory answer from my mother finally, I got released from the word "Naru".
This is a real History, If I ask you what is the Summary of this story? I don't know about your answer, but I'm gonna Summaries this story like this, "The Coconut Naru is a very famous, traditional and delicious Dessert for Bangladeshi people (Specially people from Bangladeshi Villages).
Process of Making Delicious "CoConut Naru":
In this Headline, I'm not using "The Process", here I'm using the only "Process" of Making delicious "Coconut Naru". Because the process of making "Coconut Naru" varies from families to families, Village to Village, district to district, Division to Division, religion to religion" but one thing is very common of "Coconut Naru", Is the Taste. If you are eating a "Coconut Naru" made in Dhaka, you will feel the same taste made in your native Village.
I'm gonna talk about the process of making "Coconut Naru", of my family. When the "Durga Puja" knocking at the Door, every Hindu family becomes very busy to make Puja Special foods and Dessert in our country. "Coconut Naru" is a very common and delicious dessert made by every Hindu family in the time of "Durga Puja".
The maximum number of families used to make "Coconut Naru" based on their family members' needs and also for guests of "Durga Puja".
Firstly, we collect fresh "Coconut" from our Coconut trees. Then we used to release the husk from every coconut, most of the time the Male members of our family used to do this process. Then the female members of our family got busy releasing the white part of those coconuts using a tool Called "Narikel Kurani".
Some of the female members of our family become busy to make the syrup of Sugar or Molasses in a Big Iron Pan. When they finished releasing the white part of Coconut from all Coconuts. Then someone mixed all sliced coconut with some Sesame & Blackberries in a big size Stillness bowl.
When the Syrup of Sugar or Molasses become ready, Then all the members of our family get together in our backyard and sat down on a mat in the ground, and made a Circle. By this time the boiled syrup got its perfect temperature, that we can play with it in our hands. Someone used to put all boiled syrup into the Coconut Mixer on the bowl and one of us mixed Coconut Mixer with the syrup.
When he released his hand from the bowl then the most enjoyable time become start. A Challenged was declared, who can make the maximum number of "Coconut Naru". Among all process, the only process I can do very fast is that collecting some mixer from the bowl and giving them a shape (No one Can prove it, it is a perfectly round shape).
Now it's time to eat some hot and delicious "Narikel Naru" (Coconut Naru).😋😋😜😜
I really missed those days very much, "The Coconut Naru" is not only a delicious dessert for us, the syrup of Sugar or Molasses not only join the Mixer of Coconut, but it also joins all family members with a very strong bond Called "Love & Care". The very unperfect round Shape of "Coconut Naru" is the complete and meaningful Shape of every Combined family in our country.
I wish May I once again Make Some "Coconut Naru" with all of my family members and believe that the wishes of Every Bangali are the Same to me.
Thanks a lot, for being with me.
