For my entry into #blockchainphoto #BeachWednesday, I would like to introduce you to the tantalising Tathra Beach located on the Far South Coast of NSW, with pristine beaches, rivers, lakes and wilderness, Tathra is jam packed full of fun in the sun, surf and sand, all year round, so check out the #pinmapple link to see exactly where it is.
With a huge thanks to who was brilliant enough to create the continuation of this great contest- the #BlockChainPhoto #beachWednesday 17th edition, I would like to share one of my favourite beaches on earth- the tiny town of Tathra Beach.
At just 1600 people- which is now much more populated when I was growing up there...this is where I spent most of my time when I was growing up- whether it was camping holidays with my family and friends, days out at the beach with my friends or nights out at the Tathra Hotel, which back then was aptly named 'the raging centre of the Far South Coast
The main beach of Tathra stretches for what seems like miles, where when you reach the end, you reach the mouth of the Bega River which flows out into the bay, after leisurely floating around in the many lakes first.
With crystal clear water, completely lacking in all human debris, is is the perfect place to swim, surf, dive, sail, kitesurf- and that's just on the water.
The surrounding area is full of pristine, lush vegetation, where there are numerous pathed bike paths and mountain biking paths that take you around to some of the most intriguing and historic sites around the area.
From the famed Tathra Wharf, built in 1862 and continuing its colourful history today, all the way to Gold mining era Vimmy Ridge and beyond, Tathra is the perfect destination to base yourself, as it it central to so many other untouched beaches, lakes, rivers around the area, aswell as untamed forests full of native Australian flora and fauna.
Tathra really is the best destination for a holiday for the whole family and it was an absolutely brilliant place to grow up too!
